Jerry Bates P-40 5 1/4" Spinner
I built my P-40 from Jerry Bates Plans and fiberglass fuselage, Robart Retracts, spinner that I got from a friend that had purchased this stuff probably 6-8 yrs ago. I completed it this last summer and powered it with a DLE-55 and composite 3 blade prop and scale interior. It turned out nice and I flew it twice before I dinged it up. I have repaired it and it looks good again. However the 5 1/4" diameter aluminum spinner is not repairable . The 3/8" thick backplate is OK. I lighten it some with precision holes. I can not fine where I may get another spinner as it is an odd size. Does anyone have one or know where I may get one? I look forward to some help in finding one.
