RE: FAIRLEY SWORDFISH plans?
The ESM Swordfish is a value for the money. If you would add up everything you would need for a scratch built the same sizeyou would have close to the $650 they are asking. It would take a good year to build from scratch... I have put one together and flown it. its a nice plane....

RE: FAIRLEY SWORDFISH plans?
Thanks for the info guys. I have problems with flying off of water with an ARF. Gut the airplane to reinforce the weak areas. Depending how much work has to be done, I can build faster incorporating mods as I go. Scanned plans to a laser cutter appox 250.00. Add extra wood for 100.00 and general hardware maybe another 100.00. (insert cliche) Knowing I built it, Priceless.

The Complete A Pac kit is available in the UK. A bit smaller than the ESM offering.

Why not eBay the floats and put the money towards one of the other options offered (Traplet?) - seems easiest.
