Default Top Flite .60 P-47 electric retracts

I am about to start building the Gold Edition Top Flite kit for the 63 inch wingspan P-47. Would like to use a set of electric retracts. What are my choices for this airplane? Also, does any company make an electric retract steerable tail wheel assembly?

Look into "Down and Locked" - They can convert any retracts to electric and they work GREAT!

This will be my first retract installation, so I don't have any retracts to convert. I'd feel better about getting a set of retracts that don't need modification, so I'm looking for specific brand and model recommendations for this particular airplane. Would like to install an electric tailwheel retract as well, if one exists.

I used a standard retract servo for my tailwheel arrangement. Its the Robart tailgear. Ibelieve its the 121 for .45-.75 size planes..

If you're interested in a brand new set of Lado rotating retracts (made for this model), shoot me an email at [email protected].

This plane does not need rotating retracts.

Definitely, go for the E-Flite electric retracts. They are fabulous. I have two sets.

Get some oleos and you are golden.

Whoops! You're right Mike... sorry, wrong forum!

I have several sets of the Eflite 85 degree retracts and they are great!

Check withMagnumRC.com. Gus is now the US dealer for Lado. I have a set in my TF Gold Edition P-47 and they are awesome.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check into the Lados, but likely will go with the E-Flite retracts as my local hobby shop has them in stock.

And 'jbdismukes', I agree that "Il Dolce far Niente", but who has the time?!?!

I am trying to fit them (lados) into my p47.60 ARF though the wing is already assembled. How did you route the wire past the wheel well? Thanks, Jim
