Default Large scale Warbirds

I am looking for large scale warbird arfs. Does anyone sell them in 100-150 cc size. Not interested in building kits anymore.

CompARF P-51, F4U, P47

There are many other European makers as well. it really depends on how much $ you are willing to spend. The 100-150 does tend to limit your choices. Most are 50cc to 85cc.

Those really are not ARF's though... they are more composite kits... still quite a bit of building and finishing to do.

Easytiger has a larger 110 inch Spitfire that might work. I don't know about the quality as I've never built one of theirs.

If easy is what you need - look through the For Sale [ Warbird section ] ads on a regular basis. There are nice planes showing up there.

I suggest you decide what model you want first, and match your flying abilities / style.

have fun ![8D]

I'm very happy with my two easytiger models.  I have the P47 and Fw190.  They are actual arfs and build very quick.  Just wactch out if you get one some people here will bash you saying it is not scale enough for them!

Didn't that 1/4 scale Corsair used to be the Tiger Models XXL Corsair? I wondered what ever happend to it. But they advertised the wingspan at 122.8" and about 50 lbs.

well for a $1000 + shipping for theFw 190(???)one would think they could at least mount the drop tank on straight. not
at 5 o'clock like in there pics. otherwise there has been enough said on that subject.

Personally I think 50cc is ideal.

I like the slightly larger 80cc size. That gets you in the 100" range and these IMO can be flown more realistically.

I would agree. Ihave found as Iget older that the bigger plane is much easier to fly. There is big difference between an 80" plane and 95" plane. Very big difference. And easier to work on too, you can get your hands insude the fuselage. Even bigger flies even better but they get harder to carry and harder to find motors for. About 90-100" is right for me, but 20 years ago Iwas more comfortable with 40 and 60 sized Royal kits and that kind of thing, but not any more, too hard to see and land. Also, the bigger planes handle the weight beter if you want to add details or repaint them. Iwas looking at the new Easytiger Raiden, but I realized that at only 72" it's too small for me these days, Ihave a TF P47, it's a great plane but harder and harder for me to fly.
The Wildhair Hellcat looks good, just a little small, but not too small. Wish they made it a litte bigger.

I have both the CMP P-51 and the CMP P-40.

Both are NIB and I'm not sure what the wingspan is or what size engine they take?

I've lost interest in them and the boxes take up more than I like.

If they were bigger my problem would be bigger.
