Mirce, maybe you could email or pm Chad Veich about what you are looking for? He has lots of info on the hellcat color schemes, or maybe he could point you in the right direction for this.
Let him know that John Mc sent you his way

Sorry Mirce, I've not come across any top/bottom views of this particular paint job. I think we can guess with at least a modicum of confidence that the only markings would have been the standard star and bar insignia on the top of the port wing and bottom of the starboard wing and probably the black wing walk areas. Of course that does not help at all if you plan to compete and need actual documentation! I do have a pretty good full color close-up shot of the nose art if you need that.

Chad, thanks for answer...
If you have logo, please sent it to me on my e-mail or post here. Thank you very much...

In some old magazine I find two photos from Hellcat, in this color scheme, which was on Toledo 1989.
I think that wheel covers was red...

Builder of this model was Ed Izzo...

I hope that someone have pictures of this Hellcat...

Best regards

Mirce

Mirce,

The picture I have of the nose art is in a book so I will need to have it scanned and then I will send it to you. I also have an old issue of Scale R/C Modeler magazine with an article about Ed Izzo and possibly a few more pictures of his Hellcat. If I can find it I will scan anything of relevance and send it to you. Stay tuned...

Yes, remember that plane well. I believe a Byron Original.
Very nicely painted and detailed. Ed had it for sale and was asking $2200.00.

Mirce,

This is the only picture I have been able to find that isn't among those already posted. I was sure I had a close up of the nose art somewhere and I will continue to look for it. If you send me an email at the addy below I will forward you a high res copy of this picture.

Hello Chad,

in next few weeks I will paint my model, so if you want to be so kind to try to find me that photo of nose art logo, and maybe some more photos of this X-2 Hellcat...
Thanks in advance...

Best Regards

Mirce
