Hey Gary,
I'm throwing a couple of Mae West life jackets in the trailer for you. These are top notch. I also have your extra set of blades, yellow being painted on now.

I do have one suggestion for you and your brother. Don't follow any and I mean ANY vehicles with a mattress on the roof this time.
Thank you for the items and the wonderful advise. Got a call from a gentleman who lives near by who needs to get a turbine jet he sold to Monster Planes and it looks like we will have that with us as well. That is Zombie, BIG HOG, the CJM kit I'm taking to Frank so he can ship it to Miami for me, all the support equipment, and the jet. Looks like we will have to buy cloths down there. No room for luggage.

One more thing Wayne. I'm towing my converted pop-up camper down, but will be taking Scott's trailer back. I'll need to find a home or otherwise dispose of the camper down there. See if anyone may want it if you have a chance. If I could get $100 for it, it would help with gas for the return trip. Two 8' planes will fit in it with room for all the support equipment. I just bought 3 new tires for it last month.

Just a thought. I'll have to do something with it. We can talk when we get there.

Yea, we can do that. If nothing else, I thought of maybe donating it to one of the local clubs for maybe a raffle or something to help out.

We are leaving tomorrow. Plan on getting there sometime Wednesday. Hope to be able to get to the field in the afternoon and get some things put together. We'll see.

Vern, that is great news. I'm looking forward to meeting you in person. 4 of us will be in the Solo Prop tent.

Have a safe trip and see you in a couple days.

Got her back in Brian's shop for re-balancing, and re-installing the engine and fittings.

Also needed to get her on the gear to properly install the BIG HOG graphic.

Still need to paint the prop hub red.

Hey Gary
Since you will get there before me, the tent should have a sign in front of it. It will either be "solo props" or "Wayne Fussell". If not somebody there should have a list of tents. It will be a 20x30 size.
BTW, the corsair looks fantastic.

Thank you. This will be my last post till we get to Florida. Getting packed and ready to go.

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you there, and hope we can get a nice group picture of several Comp ARF Corsairs.

For those interested, we are bringing one of the mains and the tail gear out of #2, that Mitch converted to electric, so some of you can see first hand what he does and how well it works. We will be able to run them for you if you like.

To all going, please have a safe trip, ans see you there.

We will also have a supply of Steel Powder.

Your modeling friend,
Gary P.

As I type this Brian, Dom, and I are still numb from the shock of what happened today. A mid-air resulted in the loss of the plane. It happened on the back side of the circuit, so I;m not sure how many pictures are available. She was very well received by all that stopped in to visit our tent.

Yes. #1 is gone.

Thanks for the thoughtful words.

I can't post pictures of the aftermath. Not yet. But here are some pictures of our #1 prior.

Gary, I am so sorry for your loss. All of us that own this plane/engine combo will feel your pain. I've been in your shoes enough times to know that nothing but time can make it a little less painful. I hope you can use some of Number 1 as spare parts at least. Again, I am really sad to hear about this and can only wish you more success with Number 2. A mid-air really sucks !!!

I stopped by the tent and looked at the Corsair. Pictures don't do it justice. Fantastic aircraft. Gary and the guys are extremely friendly and we talked quite a while. I saw the midair and felt sick watching it go in. I am going to purchase one of these fine birds as I have always loved the Corsair and have not had one since my Byron days in the 80's.
