    ORIGINAL: pappy 883

    OUTSTANDING !!!!
Thanx for letting us know , I've been checking all day for good news from Fla.
    How's the weather ?
Weather..................well...................a 8-15 knot wind, mostly down the runway, gusting to 21, they said. It blew my hat off regularly. BUT, heavy planes did very well.

I saw at least 5 accidents however (as you can imagine, this is hard to witness because every plane here is a work of art), and at least three incidents with air retracts.[]. Our electric conversions worked perfectly.

The WWI guys did a masterful job in the wind. Truly a treat to watch.

I have been out of touch with alot of you guys I tend to talk to regularly but I have been peeking in on the project from time to time. Gary, Brian and all of you fellas that were involved with this, you have certainly put together something that I can not see being out done in my neck of the woods.. If I could do HALF of what you have done and only do it half-*****ed it would still look amazing, that is how well you have done... I would love to hear the custom pipes.. Looking forward to some videos.. good luck and safe flights for all of you!

From what i understand the judges give you the static score right after judging, is that correct ?
This is based on a TopGun DVD i have , not actual experiance.
I think as long as the documentation is presented well they should do really well.

Hello my friend. First, I have had two mediocre rounds with Zombie so far. not on the bottom of the list, but close. I fly second at my flight line each day, and today it was with only about two hours of sleep. Not good. I've been making stupid mistakes that I never do normally. I hope for a good round tomorrow after a good nights sleep tonight.

Static judging went well, but the results are not announced till Saturday.[] Very suspenseful. We worked on the plane right up till we pushed it over for judging.

All that we have to do now is do a little work to the smoke pump, and go fly. We hope for at least one practice flight tomorrow to test the whole gun system. Video will be taken, of course.
