Stivvy:

Thanks for the picture. Do you know how they compare with the original ones ? Are they bigger ? I guess I will still buy a couple just to have as spares.

Love this picture from War Birds Over Delaware. It is Johns Corsair making a run with guns 'blazzing'. Good shot of our orange bulbs.

Gary,
I'm having trouble understanding how to mount the elevators onto the torque rod. The manual talks about screws but where/how/ etc...... One picture would be worth a lot. Thanks! Tom

Hello Tom. Yes, what you do is drill and tap through the elevator and torque rod from the bottom, for a 3mm socket head bolt, on each side. Care must be taken to line up both elevators and hit the center of the torque. Take your time. Ill post some pictures when I get home from work.

Got a care package from CARF. This currant build / fix project needed some new parts due to the very poor construction on some things. New elevators, and some new hardware packs.

Pictures of the way the elevators are attached to the torque rod. I tape the two elevators in place using the roots molded into the fuselage to line them up. You can trust them. They are perfect. Hope this helps Tom.

The Alliance event is this Saturday. I thought yours was next week. Did I get that wrong?

We wanted to fly at these upcoming local events:

-Alliance war Bird event
-Cleveland war bird event (yours)
-Cleveland National air show

We have missed some other fine local events due to scheduling conflicts or poor weather conditions for our aircraft.

Later this year the DiGorgio memorial event in Atlanta and possibly 12 O'clock High in Lakeland.

I was also invited to compete at the Scale Masters championship in late September. Not sure on that one.

Hello Joe. Thought I had sent you an email. Yes. Used the screen. Have not had time to work with the molds yet, but am looking forward to doing something with them later in the fall. Thanks again.

That picture is of the plane we built for John Zaner. She was flown at War Birds over Delaware. I have her back in the shop after a dead stick at that event did some damage. Hope to get her back to John so he can get her back in the air this year yet.

An update to the progress on the gear door inner detail. The rubber molds are done. Now the hard molds can be made and touched up. As you can see, we have rivet detail on them as well. Stay tuned.

Hi everybody

I have a question for the motors. It's possible to install moki 300 in the corsair. The diameter is 122, 05 inch. If I compare with moki 250, the diameter is 120.07 inch.

The weight for the moki 300 is more high than 1.5 livres.

Thanks

Xavier

On the 300, no, it will not fit. This plane had outstanding performance on the 215. The 250 is way more than it needs. I can see no advantage to going any larger even if you could. Just not necessary. You'll fly her at 1/2 throttle with the 250. My opinion for what it's worth.
