RE: ESM Stuka on its way
I'm hoping that the DLE20 has much more grunt than the old P.O.S. Aerovate 26s did. My 18lb Stuka was barely flyable with that engine and they rated it at 2.6 HP, although I have many reasons to doubt that rating. With the DLE 30 it really made the plane come alive. Of course, I have a lot more weight on board than the typical build, i.e. full cockpit, Dragon Models pilot, siren and 11.1V lipo to drive it, 6 metal gear servos, bomb drop, aluminum spinner, and so on....
Seems like there is some good results with the 20, but I'd say keep the plane on the light side if you can.

RE: ESM Stuka on its way
It looks like a few ppl on here agree that the DLE20 will do the trick. At first i was told he DLE55....yea that thing was not going to fit the way i want it to. The DLE20 looks good and a few ppl on the field have them. I was considering the ZDZ engines but they were hit or miss.
BTW what siren do you have and does it sound like the Stuka' did while they were diving ?

It's call a Wolo Mighty Mo. Doesn't sound perfect, but it's close. Here's a video that a modeler overseas took.

I have mine setup on a speed controller. Check out the main ESM Stuka thread for more info on what people are doing with the sirens.

RE: ESM Stuka on its way
Hello Don....I love that plane & very happy with it, i fitted a Crrc pro Gp26R....but i fitted a DLE20CC muffler to it as it was much smaller & narrower...its spinning an 18x6 MA prop & flying dead scale with plenty of power...take-offs are scale & landing is great when the flaps are deployed...slows right down!..just drive it along with throttle management, all up weight is 7..2kg manual says 7.6kg.
The wing is huge/depth...& looks awesome in the blue sky!..a no issue build & retracts to set-up & maintain!!.
Any more pics just ask...i'll put them here if everyones ok?.

RE: ESM Stuka on its way
The JU87 is one beautiful bird. I want to build one but I myself would do it for E-Flight. So that is my question; to any and all that could advice me how to set it up? The plane would be of the larger size ie: ESM Stuka 80"inch wing span. Or my other choice would be Nick Zirolli's Stuka the 100" inch wing span. If anyone could please point me in the correct direction that would be great. Mike
