**WarBirds Over Woodstock**, Aug 6th and 7th, 2011
I know it's a short notice, but I haven't seen The Mouth post the event yet... so I'll take the control stick here. 
I don't have a flyer to post, but for those die-hard faithfuls who make the 2-day event will tell ya this is a good time gathering.
ANY type of RC warbird is welcomed with a smile here at Woodtock Airport in CT., bring your scale, 'stand-off' scale military aircraft (or helicopter)... even if it's a damn foamie with minimal warbird markings, bring it to fly and have fun with a lot of the good people who come to fly.
Music, food and a wide variety of aircraft, big and small, from electrics to turbines will be in full action. I've been going to W.O.W for the past 4 to 5 years now and It's truly one of the many local events I place at the top of my "To Go To' list. [8D]

hey guys i kinda dropped the ball when it comes to posting about the event. thanks for posting it for me mike. the events always a ton of fun lots of flying and a nice diversity of planes. ill be flying my p-51, p-47 (if we finish repainting it :/) my zero, and hopefully my new yellow aircraft spitfire depending on how the maiden goes. plus whatever foamies we have at the time. john, cant wait to test fly ur 47 this weekend im probly more excited than you are! and carl we will have to do some p-51 flying together. alright guys i gave you my life story now who else is coming out!

that sounds great! It's ready to go and can't wait for you to cut the grass as they say with the prop! Tonight I plan on starting it again in my yard just to make sure. Looks good weather wise for Sat. to get those first flights out of the way. Little chief is coming along nicely. Picking up the gear for it next week at Yellow. Motor G45 coming from Chief Aircraft soon after. See you Sat. will call Jim later today.

Well I'm using all the tricks to keep that muffler on this time. I'm going to use high temp permetex red RTV for the gasket, red locktite on the threads, nord-lock washers, and to finish it off safety wired bolts. That should do it!

eehhh.
I don't know if I'm gonna go. Kinda tired. Everythings broken. I ran outta gas. I have a flat tire. I don't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from outta town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake.....a terrible flood......Locus.... it Wasn't MY FAULT!!!!!!!

Just got a PM from my buddy. He tells me there should be a pretty good bunch going from the swampflyers.
Just puting the finishing touches on some repair work left over after the Delaware event. Hope to see you guys next weekend.

plan on leaving at 9:30-10:00 tomorrow. I told Jim will call him Sat. morning probably meet you guy's at the field. Can't wait!!! See you tomorrow.

all test flights went well. test flew the spitfire and p-47 yesterday in 20 mph winds. b-25 went good today in much calmer weather.

that was GREAT, and thanks again!!........re-gaurdless of the wind, we all know the Yellow warbirds fly. I wish I took a picture of the fly by. Checked everything Sunday morning all good and ready to go. Sliding canopy working now after repairs to the linkage. See you this weekend.

and YES your spitfire was great to see fly lots of memeroies came back when I had mine........................that will be next on my list after Little chief is done.
