Default 1/4 scale Corsair options

For my next build, I've been looking at either a radial or turbo prop for something different. Right now I'm stuck on a 1/4 scale Don Smith Corsair. I contemplated a 1/6 scale, but with Evolution coming out with a 260cc radial for less than a Moki or RCS 150, it would actually cost me more initially to build the 1/6 scale currently. I guess I'm curious what other options are out there for something similar, or any opinions on the Don Smith Corsair. ARF's are out of the question due to shipping to my location. Thanks much in advance!

You might considered getting Ziroli's plans and having them enlarged to the size you need. I have built planes from both Ziroli (122" B-25) and Don Smith (1/4 scale Corsair)plans, but IMO, Ziroli's plans are far easier to follow.[8D]

Because of my location, it makes it hard to order in plans, then have them enlarged. I'll just be going down the Don Smith route I think once I get a couple other projects a little further done.

Why not a CARF Corsair?.. Or are do you prefer to build a kit from a box of parts?

CARF would cost $1400 in shipping, that's why.
