Default Airworld PBY Catalina (anyone??)

Starting a build on the Airworld PBY, has anyone out there done one? any photos or advice would go a long way. The plane is very nice but has no hardware or wood or directions or photos ect, get the point. Sooooo any tips would be appreciated. Mike

Will follow your build with great interest as the PBY is one of my favorites.
Sounds like a typical Airworld kit.

Good flying,
paul

I built most of the plane and it is nice. But the landing gear is junk and does not work. After a lot of reserch I decided that airworld never got the gear to work. I spoke to them and they could not tell me anything about the plane. I don't think they built it maybe they had someone build it for them I don't know I have not been able to find one person that actually flew one. I put the plane away for awile and may try again in the future but its discuraging that they sold the plane in this condition.

Is this the $2500.00 fiberglass model or an older Airworld model PBY ?

LB,
There's a guy in Iceland who has designed and built retractable gear for a PBY this size.
I can try and track him down if you like...
