Adding to my previous post, my four favorites at the show were the He-111, B-26 Marauder, the FW-109 and the three large Stearmens.
Unfortunately I didn't got a chance to take good photo of the FW-190, and only posted here a photo of one of the Stearmens.
There was a nice Me-109 as well, but it didn't fly while I was there (Centre of last photo)

Today I was working on mating the wing with the fuselage.
First Imade some cuts to the fuselage to accept the wing flaps/slats servos, and clearance for the other servo leads.
Ifound out that the back of the wing is few millimetres too narrow, probably due to the increased dihedral, so I sanded the fuselage to accept the wing
Now the wing sits where it should, I just have to relocate few servo leads which I have exiting next to the flaps/slats servo and will cause problem when I will add the fibreglass part on the "top" side of the wing that help it blend with the fuselage. (this is what can be seen in the picture showing servo lead squeezed between the wing and the fuselage)

I was not sure how far I can cut before I harm the strength of the fuselage. I may need to clear a bit more just to make life easier when assembling at the airfield.
Iwas quite upbeat looking at it with the wing on. Then, reality sank on the amount of work still to be done...
On personal note, I am very excited to see you back building the Me-109.
Ihave just ordered my first airbrush and compressor. Imay have time during Christmas to learn how to use it.
This will allow me to progress with the cockpit when I do not feel like building.

Jose - You should know by now that nothing is easy with my build
Everything I touch I manage to ruin or just make it difficult.
One question I had for you if you don't mind, did you glued the fibreglass shape holding the wing LE in the fuselage grooves, to the wing? (in the photos below you can see the part I am talking about between the wing and the fuselage)

Thank you Jose, as per your comment I glued the front wing fairing to the wing today.
Ihad to sand the back of the "teeth" to be able to fit *** in place when the radiator (engine cover) is in place.
After a bit of trial and error I think I got it just right.

Some progress this morning.
Imade a bracket for the wing mounting by laminating plywood and with the wing joining almost complete, I got my attention back to the fuselage.
I was trying to come up with some sort of shock absorbing idea for the tail wheel.
A long time ago Jose mentioned using rubber for it.
Igot some bicycle tube and cut couple of pieces to be inserted between the wood bracket and the landing gear.
Jose - Is this what you had in mind?

Yes, I use small rubber grommets but your system is as good. I only use two bolts though, the bottom ones, since the top two don't really do anything and they are hard to reach when you need remove the system to fix something in the tail retract.

Iassembled the tail wheel this afternoon.
I took Jose's advice and used only the bottom screws.
The rubber is doing better job then I expected.

On Friday I received my airbrushing equipment. Now Ineed someone to show me where Ican buy talent to use it.
The other thing that happened on Friday was that my daughter tripped and fell over the Me-109 wing that was laying on the living room floor (Iam running out of space).
Testimony to its strength, nothing seems to be broken.
Yesterday I installed the elevators. To insert the c-pin into place I used the method you see in the photo, it worked quite well.

Looking good erans. Yep that wing is strong for sure. Fliteskin makes it light and strong...I can't say enough about how nice it is to work with and how nice your project looks after using it.

Not much to show at the moment. Since I glued my elevator I was looking for Carbon Fibre pushrod ends for the elevator pushrod (need 4-40 thread).
So far no much success... Ifound these (see picture) on one online shop, but the shipment was unreasonably high for $15 product (pack of 10) as they will not ship "standard" airmail.
In the mean time, Isanded the fuselage a bit where the moulds mated, and had first look where formers F2 and F4 should be glued.
My problem is that Iwould like to have access to the servos behind the cockpit (rudder and elevator), so I try to find a way to have the cockpit removable.
Didn't figure it out yet...
Ialso made from Fliteskin the "back of cockpit" widening (photo will follow in my next post) to 40mm from the back, but the more I looked into it I may make it from balsa instead.

I finally bought pushrod ends for CF rods, just to find out that the local hobby shop didn't have any with the correct internal diameter.
Eventually I bought the rods online and Iam back in business.
Below Iposted the photo of the back of the cockpit filled to 40mm from the back, now done in balsa.
Ialso show the CF rod link setup.
I am yet to do the servo side, because I need to know where the servo will be located to cut to the correct length.
Before Ican do that, I have to fit the rudder servo (which have to be in the centre for the pull-pull).
Being behind the cockpit, Ineeded to mount it in a way which will allow me to remove it for servicing.
Access with a screw-driver will not be an option, so I am looking at 2/56 socket head screw and lock-nut setup which I will be able to access with Allen L-wrench (in the photos still with standard servo screws)
Ialso fabricated mounting bracket which will have large surface area with the fuselage and the spruce beams.
Iam not sure yet that this is the final configuration, but this was the only idea I could come with today.

My latest take on the rudder servo - now mounted using 2-56 socket head cap screws and matching blind nuts.
Ialso replaced the "fancy" servo arm with one I got originally with my Great Planes SU-31.
I didn't have the metric screws required for the swivel ball link, and could not be bothered with the wait to get them.

Jose - Thank you for not giving up following this build. Due to work and other interruptions Idon't get to build in any meaningful pace.
The servo arm is what Ihad, no particular reason...
The other heavy duty arms Ihad looked too short, but maybe when actually installed I will find that they are sufficient.
I may connect the tail wheel to the outer points to have better ground handling, and have the rudder on the inside holes.
At the moment, my main problem is the fact that ideally both rudder and elevator servos will be at the centre.
To achieve this I consider mounting them one above the other.
This will, unfortunately, going to make the pull pull set-up (adjusting the tension for tail wheel steering) challenging.

Ialso re-consider the location (again) and looking at placing it under the cockpit (above the wing). This will provide much better access.
To take my mind from the frustration of dealing with the rudder servo, and since I will probably need to complete the cockpit before I install the servo in the new location anyway, Idecided to assemble the instrument panel.
This is an amazing piece of kit (provided as an extra for this aeroplane), top notch. It does take time to put it together, but it will really dress up the cockpit.

Casey - how do you access the rudder servo in this location? Any chance of good quality photo/s showing this arrangement?

So, this is what Iam working on. I finished the front instrument panel, which is stunning (to my standards anyway).
Now Istart planning for the full cockpit. Imade a "floor" 20cmX16cm, and started trimming the parts that came in the cockpit "kit".
If anyone have some measurements as to how far from the front (or the back) of the seat the front instrument panel should be, it will be highly appreciated.
I think, from the back of the seat it is ~18cm, so any confirmation will be great.
Also, how wide is the cockpit at the bottom (side wall to side wall)? I think it is around 15.5cm, but would like to confirm.
