With a nibbler you fix it in 15 minutes.

Thanks for the info Dave! Where can I get the 4-3/4 carbon fibre spinner? It is not perfect but looks much better than what I am using now!

I agree that that manufacturer should at least carry the basic accessories needed to complete the airplane. Charles at Yellow Aircraft carries everything needed to complete the kits he sells. It is not included but available from him. I think on the big ESM BF-109 I will buy the spinner before buying the kit!

Regards, Mike

Well, I guess if the spinners don't surface and I think they will, one of us could bite the bullet and pay the $1000 dollars to get Tru Turn to professionally cut a spinner for us

Actually it was Dave Brown not Tru-Turn (sorry) who said they could make one for a thousand +. I asked how many pre-orders to get the price to around $300. These could hopefully be pre-cut for 2 or 3 blade props. Cutting spinners is not my thing....

Mike

Mike,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RC-Airplane-...item27bf988163

or

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._diameter.html

will get you a 4.75 inch carbon fibre spinner for your Spitfire.

I watched your video link last night and my advice (and no disrespect intended here) is don't paint your next spinner yellow. Any item (in this case your spinner) that isn't quite right should be painted as least a conspicuious color as possible so people eyes aren't drawn to it to notice. I'd suggest a grey, duck egg blue or off white all in matt finish for the next spinner to blend it in. Hope this helps,
Dave

Thanks for the info. As I mentioned I am borrowing the spinner from my Yellow Aircraft P-38 which is being repaired.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbB8P...eature=related

I don't know how much Tru-Turn would charge for a single spinner.

Mike

SPINNERS, SPINNERS SPINNERS!!!!!

All ESM aircraft owners take note
; if you are seeking scale spinners forESM 50ccSpitfire, BF109, F4U Corsair, P-51D Mustang etc., the UKlink belowhas what you need. For example the scale spinner for theESM 50cc Spitfire lists for 39.99(BP), not sure what the shipping charge would be to ship to where you live, but you can find the answer to that question by contacting them via the e-mailcontact link in the web link below.

Currently 1.0(BP) = $1.60663USD, therefore the Spitfire spinner would be $64.25USD plus the shipping charge.

Just in case you are not aware of the other thread concerning ESM 50cc aircraft spinners. Alanc from YT International posted the following response belowto the availability of 50cc spinners.

Roger

try posting a question on here, get an answer a LOT quicker than e mail
http://www.ytinternational.co.uk/forum/index.php?sid=730ef7c666294da8f5c8b40c30360926

But, in stock are spinners for the P40, & spitfire, 109 and FW190 are due in 4 weeks, domes prop nuts are alsoin stock for the corsair, all planes are from the 50cc range, TBM should also have, or be getting these in stock, postage would be expensive from the UK

My xmas wish would be to have TY produce some wing mounted MG 151/20 cannons and an Erla canopy for this beast. Also maybe the underbelly drop tank mounting pod.

Who has the best scale looking wheels for the 50cc 109?

I was looking at the metal Sullivans and they are nice aluminum hub wheels, but too wide. The 109 wheels should be more narrow.

Emailed Shinden last week to inquire about their retracts, but no reply as yet. Guess I need to call the guy and see if he answers phone calls.

Would someone mind taking a moment to explain how the hatch is secured Is this information supplied in the instructions and if so, could you shoot me a picture.. Or is this something else I'll need to engineer. Also some measurements of the canopy if possible. Since this is in-between the 1/4 and 1/5, I'm wondering if the canopy ( late version) from meister scale could be modified to fit, theirs being 1/4 scale.

Thanks. Will have one of these in route hopefully from VQ in the morning.. despite the strange hatch, I like the model and look forward to building her.

Keep up the informational post gents!

Welcome aboard Ram....my thoughts are to glass the hatch in place, build a removable cockpit box, and cover with Tys cockpit. Two piece wing with no wing saddle...just an idea right now , will probably change when I start the build.

I was dared to do something other then FW190's so I just got my order out through VQ.. My firstI'm leaving the hatch alone due to the design with the ease of the access. However looking at the post, possible making the canopy function.

Can't wait to get the cockpit kit, I'll start my fun here. Ty, thanks for the video on the cockpit kit.. It may have been what sealed the deal! Are the fuse bulges you shown and the wing bulges an option to expect at VQ.

Getting a tail wheel fork from meister from their 84inch 109. It'll be nice to do something different for a change.
