I see we have similar taste in planes. I have a CMP 120 ME-109 With Sierra retracts & Dave Platt spinner. After market cockpit kit and canopy courtesy of TY. Yeah like you said throw away the directions, and hardware, use your own common sense and a few hundred hours later you will have an airworthy plane.

The ESM looks nice but lots of hours in the issues, looking forward to this plane.

If the GS Corsair is anything like the 60 size it will be well worth the wait!!

Last time I saw the sneak peak it was showing plug in outer wing panels. Hope they keep it that way, it will make transporting and storing it much easier.

Thanks for the link Timber29. Glad they kept the 3 piece wing. I did see it is back to late May for delivery. Second link is a for sale ad, something isn't right. [:'(] I'm sure it's me what forum is it in?

No the second link is from FIying 6iants website where there a little news clip about the arf. It seems they don't like FG here lol.

Nice to see they extended the fuselage to a larger scale to match the wing. This thing is going to be a real sweet plane. I am a little disappointed that they didnt fully sheet the fuselage but as long as the wings are sheeted it will be a lot easier to overlook the belly of the plane unsheeted. I already received the landing gear and air kit for it and have the pilot waiting to board.

If any of you guys are interested in running a 4 blade prop of any size, you might consider the extra bucks for a DA60. I am running a 22X12 3 blade on mine with nooooo problem. It will turn a 22X10 2 blade a 7800 rpm static!!!!! The 22x12 3 blade cranks 6900!!!!!! I think I will call DA to see what they recommend for a 4B. Should be a 20x10 for sure!! or 22x8 either way the only problem will be to find the prop.

n8622t What am I missing? I don't understand your statement about the belly of the plane being unsheeted. I also have everything for the Corsair except the plane itself!

if you read in the descriptions, it says that it is fully sheeted...one of the pics displays the inside of the fuse and the belly looked like it was only monokote covered...it wont be the first time if im wrong

I noticed in the instruction manual they are including a nice foam stand for the build. One side for the fuselage and the other side for the wings. Way to go Top-Flite. Manual looks great like the rest of there product. Hope the model will be here by early summer.

THis looks really cool. It would be nice to have it come uncovered. There is no way I would leave the monokote on it. Hate that stuff. Definately needs to be glassed and painted. Even if the price were the same as an ARC, it would be worth it. Then save me the hassle of removing, and hitting the trash can with it.

yeah but look at the fun you would miss shooting those 3 pointers...If the monokote has been applied as well as what their P-47 and P-40 were done it wont be too bad after some scuffing and graphics are applied, especially if its for everyday flying. From 15 feet away my P-40 and P-47 dont look half bad considering its monokote. The biggest thing on the Corsair for me is that they enlarged the fuse...big impovement

I had not paid any attention to the measurements, kinda just thought it be a splash off of the kit. Hopfully some of that 3 inches will be in front of the wing so we want need so much ballast for balance. Since the wing span is the same on the Kit and the ARF, I wander where all those extra square inches come from. Maybe the cord is a little wider since they streatched the fuse?

Hey, Im really looking forward to this getting here, A decent size Corsair in an ARF that I dont have to spend months and months building. Im going to put her together just like she comes out of the box and have fun with it.

Yep I will be at WBOTX and hope a lot of you guys will come on down. Terry from www.wyliewarbirds.com has already got the trophies and he didnt spare any expense. Anyone interested check the website for info on Warbirds Over Texas in June.

Well, the big Corsair is on Top Flite's website. Looks pretty good but the tailwheel is all wrong. Downloaded the manual and studied it this morning. Am undecided as to what direction to go. Have to say, I really like the aluminum reinforced center section/gear mounts.
