bigtim-

Id say hold onto em for now, hopefully the setup i have now works. I like what you did with the balsa sheeting. I left the ribs exposed on my setup and painted and epoxied mine. if i need to cover them i'll let you know, i appreciate the offer!

Well, conditions werent exactly favorable, but there was no wind, which was important..... She fired up on the first blip, i taxied out, called out a maiden and slowly throttled up. She got up, stumbled a bit because the trims were off a bit, and she definitely spread her wings. She was flying again.... So majestic was this bird.... Had some issues with running rich but i had a total of 2 flights... 5 months of rebuilding and it was all worth it.. Cant wait to go back out Thursday... This is what flying is all about... Thanks to everyone for following this thread... Before and after (before is on the right)

WHAT!!!! Your selling it after all your hard work. I would love to have your plane and the finish the dakota kid lettering on it. I'm scratching my head, wanting to buy it from you, but shipping would put the price to high for me?

barron,

Here is pdf of the manual. It is for the H9 P-51 Marie edition. It is quite useful.

Yeah unfortunately i dont have any other choice- time to move on to bigger better things...... I wish there was an easier way to ship- i wouldnt trust putting this on a bus....

I hear ya! I wouldn't trust putting on a bus either. They make to many stops, to many chances for things to get lost! Good luck on your sale!

It may sound crazy, but I have shipped built airplanes (properly boxed) with Greyhound, and the service was fast and flawless. I'm sure someone will chime in with a horror story anytime now... but no service is perfect! I just wanted to share my positive experiences. Good luck on your future project!

Thanks buddy. Couldnt have done it without ya! I switched the mounts today so i can mount the engine inverted, it frees up a lot of empty space in the cowl and conceals the engine better...... Horizon Hobby's Ebay store shows 3 cowls left for the old "Marie" design.... Hopefully by friday there's at least 1 left....... If not, i'll use the one i have and fly with a hole in it lol..
