RE: 1/4 scale Spitfire ARF
Few more pics....still need to do the framework around the front and rear canopy....so it looks a little strange at the moment
Also installed the tailwheel.....its nice and solid.
The tail section is out of alignment with the wings.
I will have to de-bond the joiner tube guide in the fuselage, and re-align the horizontal stab with the wings.....

Yes, It gives it a much sleeker profile compared to the stock canopy......it will look much better when finished. Im sure it is worth the extra work

Hi Jesus
nothing is happening
I have lots of projects on hand, and the winter is long.....
I tend to jump from project to project, and think about solutions the time im not working on the plane.
Then when I get a great idea, I get on to it again.
Plan is to have it flying this summer

Yes, it will look fantastic when finished.
Im going to repaint the green interior with another darker shade, as it did not meet my expectations

RE: 1/4 scale Spitfire ARF
If the weather allows this weekend I should be able to get mine ready for a test flight. The only major modification I have made to mine was to change the angle of the retracts my wheels not site flat in the wheel wells, I have also strengthened the bearers and replaced the wheel well covers with aluminium ones. The engine is a ZDZ RVJ80 with and internally mounted JMB cannister.

Just saw your pics on the YT forum.
Have you thought about channeling cooling through, and out of the wing ?
I was thinking of making intake holes on the top side of the wing inside the fuselage, and then make exhaust holes hidden under the large plastic radiators, and only open up the rear part of the plastic radiators and hope air would be vented out that way too.

There are large holes in the fin stern post which will help, I have just added two large vents in the rear of the fuselage.

Anyone else out there had any progress on this bird ?
Shamefully, I have not progressed
Saw these pictures of one from Italy, and it looks allright

Those pics got me going again
Filling and sanding the cockpit area.
I also pulled off the china cover on one of the wings, as im going to glass them.
Almost fully sheeted, will ony require a little work to get it ready for glass cloth.
There are lots of pits and dings that will need to be filled with light spacle, but not too bad.
The sheeting is very thin, and glass will do it good
The white pair of wings behind the spit wing are for a 50cc Sbach....they look small in comparisson

Vinyl decals came today.
Also received a mick reeves instrument panel, and exhaust stack kit.
The panel will look fantastic when painted and put together.....very simple, but effective
The exhausts will greatly improve cooling to the engine, with 12 huge outlets.
Im pleased that i bought those. A little fiddly to assemble, but they will look realy good when done.

Decided to assemble the mick reeves instrument panel.
It is a little rough, but it looks awesome when completed.
you can easily make it much more detailed, but I did not go nuts on it

A few cuts here and there, a bit of glue and some carbon cloth and there you are. I'll keep watching either way.
Good luck,
