Warbirds Over Louisville, Oct 6 & 7
The annual Warbirds Over Louisville Fly-In will be held on October 6th and 7th 2012 at the River City Radio Controllers field in E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park. This is always a great show with lots of planes, good food, and cool prizes! Bring your latest warbird and join the fun!

John, we have a 500 x 50 foot asphalt runway with an adjoining grass strip. We fly everything there except turbine jets- just not quite enough room to get them down safely (although we have made exceptions for airshows). If you go to our website, www.rcrcky.com , and click on the 'about us' link, there is a map and aerial view of our field. Hope to see you there! [8D]

Got two ARF warbirds for raffle prizes, should be more stuff coming! They're both from Seagull; the Dewoitine has a 70 inch wingspan and the Texan 2 is 63. I haven't decided whether to have one big raffle and let the winner choose or have separate raffles for each. Either way, somebody is going to get some cool stuff!

OK, We've got seven. If I throw in the L-39 and BAE Hawk, a Jenny and the Spad we would have 11 planes. With that new trailer we probably still have room for another 7 planes...waddya think?

Tom, thanks for that posting of me and my Jug. I hope to have it out this weekend along with my A-10 so ill have some heavy metal to fly around. Im currently rebuilding
the gear mounts in the Jug that i took out last year and this time, the whole wing will have to depart and im hoping with a new battery for the ignition, no more forced landings.
WEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!! GGEEEZZZZZZZZ now the pesky weather man has revised to listing rain for saturday so sounds like at least that day
might be a wash so what do you think that will do for turnout? Sundays weather is looking sunny and light northly wind as of current forcast so that will work.

No problem Sam! Glad you're planning on coming out! I know what you mean about the gear- retracts are cool, but they can be such a pain-in-the-butt! Last time I flew my jet the gear folded up just as I touched the runway and it went *scrape!!* across the asphalt. Didn't lock down!
As for the weather, they can't acurately predict it three days in advance! You watch, they'll change their minds by Friday, and it will be nice and sunny!

OK, I just checked the Weather Channel website and they are saying a good chance of rain FRIDAY night but clearing by 10 am Saturday morning. Partly cloudy skies with light wind out of the north the rest of the day. Excellent, since our runway is north/south! Might be a little chilly though, so bring your jacket![8D]
