I am looking for some opinions. I have an ESM 50cc Spitfire and I am trying to figure out what engine size to put in it. I want the plane to have plenty of vertical thrust and better than scale. That is just what I like. Anyway, I am looking at the EME 60cc and again I am looking for ideas or experiences anyone has had. Also, I am looking for scale looking exhaust, but not functional.

I would like to join your Spitfire brotherhood. I have a ESM 72'' Spitfire for my winter project. I am planning on powering it with a DLE 20.
My last Spit was a Platt with a webra 60, this was 20 years ago. It gave me many hours of flight before it was shot down by a friend turning his radio on. He or the spit did not owe me anything, mistakes happened back then.

Hi Brothers!!!
Well I am back in the workshop after taking so time off. ( because the doctor told me!!! ), working on the ESM 72.5 Spitfire. Here are some pictures of the work I have done so far. I did not go with the pull/pull systems or the retract tail wheel on this bird. I did go with the twin servos for the elevators. As you can see in the pictures, I did make a new tray just for the elevators. I also went with a servo for the engine choke. I am still going with electric retract for the main landing gear and I found a good set. Here is the link!! http://www.wingspanretracts.com/LGM1585
I can not wait to have it ready for next spring and it's maiden flight.

K 5054, you said you are going with a DLE 20cc in your post. Look back in the thread and you will see where I glass up around the firewall and I am glad I did.

Merry Xmas Brothers:
Here are so more update pictures of my ESM Spit build!! As you can see, she is starting to look like a Spit!!! The landing gear will be here after Xmas and I will post pictures of the install. O.S.G and Lifer, the controls setup is not set in stone and they will be change!! I will have to put her on the scale and see how much heavy she is as seen in the pictures. Stay tune for more updates to come!!

Hello Spitfire Brotherhood,

I am working on the 1/5.33 Brian Taylor Spit. The plane is a Mk VIII from the 31st FG in Italy. The tail pats are from Chad V. as well as the cockpit kit. All of his parts are outstanding. Planing on a DLE-35ra for power , Sierra gear.The Fiberglass fuse and parts are from Vic C.
