Hello Spitfire Brothers....

I am jumping in and trying to decide which kit to roll with. I am seriously considering the CompARF version. Can you offer some feedback on this model?

Thanks!
Hi Dave, good seeing you here, I'm kinda curious too, would anyone comment between comparf and yellow?

Happy Holidays,
Barry

Merry XMAS & Happy New Year to all of my Sptifire Bros & their family!

Phat, You might as well do a couple of extra scale items on the cockpit while you have it apart. I added a gunsight to my H9 Spitfire and am thinking of doing a couple of other minor cockpit details while I'm waiting for the gear legs to come for my electric retracts. the rear view mirror is a real ***** to manufacture, and fragile. I may not put that on this one.

That's a good idea for the canopy matey, I have been looking at other builds for ideas. Just not sure if I want to go the whole nine yards with this one, I may do a Leroy and stick a pilot in with a moving head

albsurfer, always welcome.

Received my cockpit kit from TH, at least I have something to work on right now
Will not assemble, just cut and paint, will install during the fuse build.

Happy Christmas / Happy holidays to all Spitfire Brothers

John.
Does Yellow aircraft still carry cockpit kits, if so does anyone remember how much they are. I will have to get a new canopy because mine has a huge hole in it, anyone got one of these laying around they would sell.
Thanks
DougB1
Hi, Dougb1
Checkout the spitfire cockpit kits at Iflytailies.com, they have some very detailed cockpits at a very reasonable price.

Barry, we think way too much alike! I am hoping to start hitting some of the war-bird events this next year....

Anyway, can someone give me an idea on pricing for the Yellow version?

Thanks!

The DA-50 is the perfect match for the yellow spitfire.

Phat, that Yellow Spit kit looks great.
Yeah, the Leroy head mod is pretty simple to do and cool looking. You could do the waving arm at the same time..

Albsurfer, if I do well with this TF Spit, then the Yellow AC one is my next.
The Comp-ARF is also a good looking bird, but out of my price range by the time you get it to fly.

Phat Reliant, I saw some posts for the Yellow, which looks fantastic. Someone also showed their COMP-Arf which looked amazing, but yes, EXPENSIVE for the kit and to outfit. Hope you find the Yellow kit at a good price.

What about an electric conversion on the Yellow Spit? Thoughts?

Yes, definitely!!! Why not?
Here is a video of an electric COMP ARF Spitfire from Australia. It is bigger than the Yellow and works just fine.
It is a short clip from a seven minute flight.

Go for it.
