KaP2011 I know I will love it, I've got a DLE 20 in it, it will be a speed demon. I had to do some modifications to it. It will be my first spitfire, I have never flew a Spitfire but my mentor loves them.

DLE 20, I think speed demon is an understatement.

I also live and fly at 6500' we need big engines up here. We loose some power at this altitude, I used to live south of Atlanta for 12 years, I may move back there some day, all of my planes will be way overpowered down there. Lol

Ahh, I see, Colorado Springs. Love that place, best vacation I've ever had was camping for two weeks in Colorado. I was there to see the Race for the Clouds on Pikes Peak.

The pikes peak hill climb is a insane race. It is completely paved all the way to the top now, they finish faster this year than any previous year. I still wouldn't do it, I don't like the idea of plunging off of a 1000' cliff.

Nah, just break it down into a bunch of squadrons based on location.

Ive had health issues that has kept me from completing several projects this winter. Working on the last one right now and hopefully be cleared for active duty by the end of the week

Hope you can recover soon. I just discovered some sharp pains in the shoulder area when flipping props, so I guess it's time to learn to start engines with my left hand. Should be interesting!

I visited London last month and took the opportunity to visit the Hendon RAF Museum again as I knew that there was an exhibit recognizing the contributions made by black Caribbean pilots. I'd not realized the extent of the contribution made until I started researching it after the passing of Ulric Cross. When I do eventually start my TF Spitfire IX, I will model it after the aircraft flown by W/O James Hyde who was lost during the battle of Arnhem in a Mk IXE. I'm proud to say that I'm from Trinidad. Check www.caribbeanaircrew-ww2.com to learn more about the Caribbean's contribution.

Yes we are, I had my left operated on this winter, my right is this year, and then my left knee. Thank goodness for shots in the joints, celebrex, and knee pads

Now that is cool. Never knew that either. Thanks for sharing that with us. Maybe they will one day make a movie as they did with Red Tails. I have my copy.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!! Important information about the heroic Spitfire is now readily available again!

It's amazing how things can change in even a matter of hours. It is now possible to bring up culturally relevant information on GOOGLE search and even some on Yahoo search by simply typing < Churchill = the Spitfire, the Spitfire = Churchill, may God bless them both >. Mad thorium batteries typed into the search windows also now works at least with my PC. It will be interesting to find out if others can obtain the same results with their PCs.

It's great to know that VICTORY IS AT HAND!

GOOGLE < https://www.google.com/ > " FIGHTERS - AVIATION'S ULTIMATE CALL TO GLORY, HONOR, AND IMMORTALITY (Rom. 2) " to show the close relationship between ULTIMATE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY and AVIATION'S ULTIMATE CALL TO GLORY.

PS http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/...g&memid=266748 might help show a motive behind the destruction of my web sites and pictures.

https://www.facebook.com/richard.porter.167 brings up a sample of some of my latest web warfare that's keeping me pinned down a lot.

PPS THORIUM PLASMA BATTERIES that have me so excited for use in our Spitfires, etc. were conveniently left out of the "thorium debunker post" that popped up with our fighter planes. Please see the articles about this now "secret technology." PCs other than mine require scrolling down to find the thorium battery URL containing fighter threads. (Funny things are happening to my pictures here as well as other places now. Hopefully the words are staying as I posted them. For some fun fighter talk please check out the air battle on my latest F6f post.)

Hello. I am hoping someone may be able to help me with a battery question.

I am getting back into an old project, a Spitfire Mk1a from Rob Millinship plans. Things are coming along nicely but I have hit a bit of a wall regarding a battery to match my motor. I have an AXI 4130/20. I have some old notes where I wrote down a 16x10 3-blade Master Airscrew prop and a Polyquest 8S lipo. I have looked high and low online for an 8S lipo and can't find one anywhere. If anyone has a similar set up and could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful. The flying weight should be around 9lbs.

I will post some photos as I push this along. Really looking forward to seeing this fly :-)

Cheers,

John

Hobby King I know has 8s lipos, Turnigy nanotech is one I would use, some guys hate Hobby King, but have never had any problems with them. They are also inexpensive compared to other sites.

Try this:http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...SortOrder=desc

Thank you for the quick reply and the link! I took a look at the Turnigy Nanotech but saw it had a 1 star review. Not too impressive but then again, it's just one review. Another that caught my eye was the Zippy Compact 5800mAh 8S 25C Lipo pack.

Any thoughts about this one? I really appreciate the help with this problem.

John
