Frank I know what you mean about scratch building that is all I have been doing for the last 20 years

and yes The weather has made a mess around here I think it's almost time for the sport planes and skies and
wait for the lakes to freeze they make great airfields

Hello Brothers and Sister,

Now that old man winter is almost back here in the great northwest, it is time for me to finish my build on the ESM 72 Spirtfire. I hope everyone had a very good flying summer. Got in on RC Gliding flying for the summer, and it was a blast!! This past weekend my club had a War Bird Fly-In to honor some of the local Vet's. We had over 30 pilot show up with their beautiful hangars. Two pilot had the Top Flite Giant Scale Spitfire Mk. IX and they look and flew beautiful.
What stole the show was the last flight of the day, A giant scale A6M Zero by Top Flite. What a sweet looking plane!! May have to put that one on my Xmas wish list!!!!

I wonder if I might join this great brother hood. spitfires are what started me modelling when I was 10 with an electric profile round the pole model I drew up from an article in model airplane news from about 1970 I think I have had about 5 I still have a balsacraft mk IX still flying and one more to come a 1/6 scale in draft in rhino.

Oakey,

Great to see you and so many others joining the Spitfire brothers and sister. Below is a development that is just too much fun to not share!

ENJOY!

BATTLE OF BRITAIN HEROISM!!!

Better late than never. After removing everything around my Spit's motor I was unable to duplicate the motor failure that manifested itself after last year's Battle of Britain commemoration flying performance. So, just for fun It dawned on me that a GWS 12X8 SF prop just might provide performance comparable with my other fighters. YES! It turns out that my PARKZONE MK II Spitter will now indeed perform very close to the minimum standards expected of my newer fighters. Turns out that belly landing prop survival does require some reinforcement to the center section of the prop, but other than that we now have an irresistible fun Spitfire that must be flown more now than has been the case for years.

Rolling in to attack.

Out.

PS http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/...g&memid=266748 might help show a motive behind the destruction of my web sites and pictures.

https://www.facebook.com/richard.porter.167 brings up a sample of some of my latest web warfare that's keeping me pined down a lot.

This copy of my favorite Spitfire picture is from my Facebook Timeline that reveals revolutionary information. I wonder how long it will stay posted here given the way my original pictures have been removed from my posts. We shall.

PPS Please click on my blue "mad web tv scientist" to see how hard I tried to follow up with a test report that kept being blocked off the forum thread .
