Lado Replacement in Sierra gear for 1/4.5 Focke Wulf.Anyone tried?
I have a Vailly Fw 190. The scale is 1/4.5. With Sierra gear.
Anyone out there tried to replace the air-cylinder with a Lado Replacement?
This one for example;
http://www.lado-tech.net/en/rs666/15-rs666-pair.html
I dont know which threads are used in the Sierra ....is it trunion it is called?
The brass thingy that the piston rod is ...threaded into?
And I dont know which thread-sizes used in the Lado "rod".
(Not mentioned in the Lado drawings you can download)
Wouldnt surprise me if one is mm, the other one inches...
I got a leak on the last flight in minus 5 degrees Celsius. Back home all was okay again in room temperature.
Had to do a belly landing. Broke the propeller.
It irritates me. Probably was the Robart Valve.

Your situation calls for DownAnd Locked electric conversion. Call Mitch at D&L and he'll fix your belly landing/broken prop problem permanently. He specializes in Sierra and Robart gear. He converted my Sierra gear for the 1/4 scale Meister 190A Butcherbird. I'll never carry an aircompressor again. His conversions are simple and fool proof.
