Default CMP 109

Ok, I am slow. I finally got around to this aircraft. Bought it from a fellow flier at the field. repainted and modified for the ESM 109 retracts which worked flawlessly. Don't have the flight video yet as I didn't take it while I was flying. Hopefully will get a copy of that soon. Got lots of comments at the field! Hopefully not too boring of a video

It's an easy model to fly. Just be ready for the left pull on take off. And don't lift off with out enough airspeed. I have a vid of my flight form a few years back.

Got another flight today. This plane is incredibly fast with the OS 1.60. Flew at half throttle most of the flight. The ESM landing gear appear to work flawless and they look good. Sure changed the way it looks when it sits on the ground. I have ordered a slimline inverted pitts so as soon as that gets here that big muffler will get retired.

Very Nice.

Build the tropical spinner for it. I'll dig up my smaller tropical 109.

Here's a pic of our full composite 48"span one in tropical colors

I am a big fan of 109. Have quite a few of them.

Nice, love the 109 myself. I will have to build that filter for it next. Any thoughts on what materials to use?

Correct size tube or wood dowel, and for the filter look, maybe 2oz ( i think i used 2oz) fiberglass cloth to simulate the filter screen wrapped around the filter then aluminum tape to create the "look" of a scale pic.

Shape the nose with styren plastic
