Skyshark P-40
Finally got this baby into the air this morning. Can you believe she flew with an old US Engines 41? Ok flew is a technical word. It flew like a giant Piper Cub. Definitely gonna get a diff engine. Some pics.

Something is definitely missing! What could it be?
If it could loop from level flight, it's probablly as good as the full scale. More power is more weight. []
Oh, Sorry. It's the pilot!

These planes do fly well. On the ground a different story. 2 degrees right and 1 degree down thrust really helps tracking if it is wild on takeoff. Move cg forward 1/2 " as it helps approach attitude and overall flying stability. Had two of these till I lost one two weeks ago due to aileron failure. Green one has BME 50 while brown one had a Pecision Eagle 4.2. Paul

Yeah I have the stock muffler. Didnt think about that. I put one of those Chinese FTL 45 engines in it and flew it today. It ran real smooth and had plenty of power. I am impressed by this engine. We will see how it runs afer time. It starts right up. I bought it from Hobby King several years ago and never used it. The P-40 is a nice flying airplane. those Sierra gear are awesome but they add a lot of weight especially when they retract. I do have it balanced with the gear up but it took a lot of weight to get it there.
