Ok with my cowl I it a pain in the butt to get to the cowl mounting screws. What are you guys using to mount? The Great Planes® long handle ball wrenches (GPMR8008) look to no longer be available. I went to Harbor Freight and pickup some that I thought would be long enough and they are not . Help Please

Dubro sells a ball driver long enough to reach the back of the cowl. Bought mine last year.

I started with the stock ARF method but had issues with the screws backing out even with thread lock applied. I changed to the “radial” screw method. Using the same 4 blocks I made spacers and screwed the cowl to them from the outside. Never had a problem again.
Once you add the dummy engine and if you add nose weight in the cowl the screws take a lot of load. The radial style works very well for me.
I’ve had working cowl flaps and scale dummy engines and all worked great with radial mount screws.

I was talking with a friend about RC planes the other day and realized my Corsair ARF is about 10 years old!

So that cowl is a little larger than the stock one correct
looks great from the front how does it look from the side. The reason I ask is I am thinking of getting one so my 70 twin will fit on this bird.
thanks

The cowl is a little larger and air will flow well through it too. I'll get more pics. The ones I have will not load for some reason
