    RE: Sist FW190A8 1:4

    ORIGINAL: BeasleyBunch

Glad to read you are pleased with your Seidel prop. Since I have changed engines from the EVO99 to the Moki 150 I have been interested in looking intothe Seidel prop. I have sent several emails, via their web site, looking for a quote/delivery for a 1/4.5 scale 190A prop, but so far no response...?Any suggestions?

I know that Mario at Seidel is extremely busy with business; one of those things when you make a great product. He told me that he is on his third version for a prop for my Turbo Raven to make sure it is just right before shipping it.

Talk to Götz at www.teamaeroscale.com; it is my understanding that Götz has the rites to the U.S. for these props and that is who I have been purchasing them through.

Just a note, the wait time is about four months from the purchase date.

Great andthanks! I just sent him an email the other day... Will send himanother now! And the wait is no issue as I am in the busy time of year for work...which has slowed the build down considerably :-/ Thanks again.

Is anyone aware of this plane being rc modelled before?

Focke Wulf Fw 190 A-8 of JG 4, flown Pvt. Wagner; the aircraft was downed by american anti-aircraft fire during operation "Bodenplatte". It was captured by american troops after making an emergency landing. The ETC 501 was removed and the engine repaired for ground trials.

Does the SisT come with an A8 gunhood? I thought it only came with an A4 and earler flat hood.

It is advertised as an A8, but I really don't know the difference between a A4 and A8. Here is some additional photos Ihave...

I will have to do some research so that Iknow the differences between the two.

A quick search of wikipedia to compare the look of an A4 to A8, makes me believe the new 1:4 scale version is an A8.

That is the gun hood of an A7 or A8... The bulges were added to accommodate the change to the larger MG131 machine guns. Really like that checkered cowl !

The prototype shows an A8 bulged gunhood while the kit content picture shows a early style flat hood. I guess the builder modified it?

Here is another photo that shows two bulges, but the hood does look to be flat

There are two other people that already have this kit, my one of them can confirm what the production kit looks like.

Gills that can be closed with that flat gunhood is probably an A5.

A4 had open gills only, I think.

Maybe you can choose between A7-A8 (big bulges) gunhood, and flat (small bulges) ?

    Would be smart.

Kwik is correct about the A4 having three fixed cooling vents behind the cowling, and the A5 introduced the articulating vents along with the bigger BMW.

I will be picking up two of the 1/4 scale SiSt FW190 on Wed… But it will be a bit of time before I start on either one of them because I found out today my family and I will be moving to MD for a new job.

Once I get the kit, I will post whether it is a model A4, A8, or can be either with included parts.

    Pandissix.
Here's just about everything I have, plus some interesting trivia re;markings. It's mostly from my 109 research but it's equally acurate for any airframe. Most of the emblem charts are in hi-res so if you click and save they enlarge really well to about 4'' (10mm) emblem size. I have them printed out at 24x36'' posters in the shop and the resolution is crisp.

The nomenclature side view is the D model but the nomenclature is the same. For some reason that one doesn't enlarge online but if you save it and open the file on your pc it gets pretty big. If anyone wants them I can post the nomenclature for the ME-109 for the sake of isolating the script and graphics on the side views. Most of the stuff translates to the 190 as well.

I have a book with all the heraldics from german planes. Many cats there, but no one looks exactly like the one
on the plane. So either the cat on the plane is a bit different from the real one....or....I dont know.

    Hey Bob...

No shipping cost and local delivery to your club; could you ask for anything more

Ido hope to be able to bring the P-47 to the PGRC Warbird Fly In in Sept. I need to get with Graham to see if we are still on track for shipment in late August (crossing my fingers)

    Frets...

Thanks for the info you posted. With Burley's help, I found the Black Cat. I have Vikie over at Getstencils.com making me some dry tansfers...Having some artisitic creativity putting the cat on Yellow 5 here. Some research I have done...shows the cat on Yellow 5 as well...so this is not a show plane...just a weekend flyers...so having some fun adding what I like.
