    RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

You are better off looking at a few pictures of the real FW190 and then sizing the graphic to fit your plane. You just want them to look the same, model and real plane.

    RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

    Hello Eugene,

I have not heard anything more about this, but there are a few here that are just stripping the Monocote from their ARF and doing their own thing. If I am ever able to get one, I will probably just do the same thing. From what I've read, the Monocote is not all that hard to remove.

    RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Been working on the 190 installing servos in the wing. Easily the BEST ARF kit I have ever worked on. It is so prefab and many, many details already done or prepared for you!

First time using the Futaba Sbus system and really like it. I plan on going with the electric set up as well which should skip a lot of the engine mounting instructions! My question to all you experienced FW pilots.....do you use take off flaps ? The instructions call for no flap / full 2" flap only.

Really..I don't think you'll have a problem with interest. If you make it, they will buy..lol. It opens the door for so many different variants.

    Hi Dean,

I have about 80 flights on my FW and I use about half flaps for take off and full for landing. I have my travel on the flaps as much as I can get and I have no bad habbits at all.

I changed my gun hood to a A8 when I got the kit. Sorry N8.. I'm back on her as the Dora is ready for paint but the weather's too cold. [] Some simple modifications to the original. It opens scale now and the magnets are a great help. I still need to work on it a little.

Sounds like the hoods are available. I don't need to make them if some one else has them already.

    RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

For those interested in doing the work.. The gun hood is a modification from a Bob Holman/Lien FW190A 80in kit I had sitting.. BHplans.com. The blown canopy is also from there. I think the canopy would've been better if from IMPscale (their 1/5th D9) as they're canopy is blown much larger (not accurate) but would show better details for a kit of this size.

I'm still working the details of the gun hood as it won't work (open) the same as the designers of the TF 190 intended. You'll most likely need to make it function per the real FW190 (I've done this). You may also need to modify the cowl. You could overlap the gun hood but that wouldn't be accurate and may cause some aerodynamic issues.
"IF" I'd stop staring at them, I'd get more done to them.

They shall be generally ok. I have no personal experience with them as I fly electrics only for few years now.

    Hi All,

I have had a quick look through this forum and can not find any mention of using a radial Moki or the like ?

Has anyone considered fitting one of these motors ? Do any of them fit or are theysuitable. I just love the sound of those Mokis !!

    Thanks,
