I had no issues with that flap servo location hard point for the flap on my plane.

Fixed and moved on. I hear you it looks like this is going to need some nose weight. And I even relocated the batteries forward. Now that not a big deal. I do have to say each ARF Topflite comes out with they keep getting better. This was by far the easiest arf I have ever put together and I thought the p47 was easy.

Well done Topflite

Time to clean up the shop and start on my comp arf spitfire.

Nice job Hellcat. I like your weight box and getting it foreward.
I am NOT going to use the retract tail wheel on my 190. I am going to use a tailwheel mount that comes with the TF Mustang.
You can buy them from Tower as a part. They are super lite and mount in like the Robart gear.
I haven't used a Robart retract tailwheel in my last two Stangs and it makes a difference where I put the battery.
Sounds to me this might be the bird to do this too.
I like a scale looking warbird as much as anybody on here but, for a every weekend flyer a tailwheel showing is not a problem for me.
I have two sets of those scale Robart wheels for my 51's but I think the wheels that came with this one will be used. A lot lighter and should be easyer to raise.

Two hours later and I'm 5% there. I still have a lot of details like the gun covers and control linkage covers to add. My lines aren't perfect but then neither is the plane.. It'll ne a nice sunday flier though. TF did a great job..

Has anybody modded the FW-190 for a 2 piece wing? How hard was the mod?

Thanks. It takes a lot out of you as you know but It's worth it in the end. I'll have this completed soon but the weather is getting worse so painting will be out of the question until spring.

Wait for it... If they do, I'm sure they'll post it.. Otherwise, You could be the first. I'd like to see how it's done. Maybe making the stab removable also.

Well that sucks!!![:@] I was planning on getting another just to slap together and fly.

I found these parts in my FW190 boxes. I wish I knew which 1/5th scale kit they were for. They're much better then the parts that come with this TF ARF. If anyone knows someone that could replicate these parts, PM me. Thanks.

Well, we're at about 19% complete. Wondering just how far I'll go on the maintenence access panels for the MG151's. There's a lot of details I could add but since it's on the bottom of the wing and belly landings don't always fair so well; would it be worth it?

I'm glad I did the wing first as normally after doing the fuse, I get lazy on the wing[&o].

I'm sure it won't matter at Top Gun... They don't judge the bottom.

If you are using electric retracts, you better PLAN on a belly landing, and build for it.

I'm sure it will be seen on a flyby at full throttle anyway.

Top Gun judges look at every square inch of your plane, top, bottom, front, back, sides, inside, outside, everywhere. And they look really close!

Unless of course you fly in Pro-Am. Then all you need is a photo of the plane you modeled.

Well, since I'm not even considering TOPGUN, it's not an issue. I alway thought that only the best of the best were shown there..Funny though, I seen on video of that fat little ESM Japanese ARF plane at either topgun 2011 or 2012.

The wing is ready for rivits Now for the fuse; I've been looking forward to detailing this area.

maybe Tiano needs to have a class just for bashed arfs......I bet it would overtake the rest of the classes, and might lead to higher quality scale ARFs.[:@]

DLE 55RA rear exh is very compact so your cowl will be more preserved if you care. I own one for the GS Corsair, I like it.

Well' as posted, the only real considerations that I see are that the DLE 55 side muffler should drop right in as the firewall is pre-marked for it and the DLE-RA requires you to adapt the firewall to fit it.
