Bummer, they list the electric version on the FW page on the TF website as well but will be no good if it goes all the way up

Jeremy D, just for information purposes,ROBQ2231 is not listed on Pg 4 of the assembly manual. TF will have to be questioned on this matter to clarify.

I just checked on what the shipping on this bad boy will be to Australia and it is close to $500 meaning over $1K just for the airframe before even adding the retracts

I did have one back ordered with Tower but it looks like I'm going to have to give this a miss and wait until the local guys decide to stock it which could be god knows how long! I will watch with massive envy from the sidelines as you guys build and fly them [&o]

Guys, please check a REAL FW A3, Our tail wheel retracts to the correct scale position. It did not go all the way up on the real thing. It would have been easier to make it go all the way up.

Ther isn't much room back there....trust me. I locked mine(Sierra FW 190 tail wheel) down on my Holman A8 to save alittle weight, although not much. It would not have been able to fully retract due to the elevator connections, I'm sure you would have similar problems.

i wound up replacing the air cylindar on mine with a stainless steel setup. These cylindars have 10/32 push rods. It can also be done on the sist aswell. I belive you should be able to use the sist tail gear in this guy.

ROBQ2231 Robart Fork Electric Retract Tail Wheel

The ROBQ2231 Robart Fork Electric Retract Tailgear seems mighty expensive at $189.95USD. Gee I must be outta touch with the current prices, I didn't think it would cost that much justfor the tail gear. Plus the ROBQ2220electric main gear is listed at $461.99USD; total for both main and tail electric versionis approximately $652.00USD.

In comparison the ROBQ1658 pneumatic main gear is approximately $347.99USD and the ROBQ2220 mechanical tail gear is $99.99USD, total for both main and tail gear is approximately $448.00USD. It's time to crunch the availablebudget dollars.

This is roughly the way it's suppose to look.

And here is the action or close too. (My ESM D9)

man that red one will be easy to see. Im going to put the first one together right out of the box with no mods and fly the heck out of it like i did my first TF p47. If it seems to hold up and i have not doubt it will. i will glass the second one.

I do not believe it will be out this weekend but we will have it at The Indiana Warbird Campaign labor day weekend. I personally will be at Hoosier Dawn Patrol this weekend.

Thanks for the opening Terry! Here is a "sneak peak" at the in-progress sculpt of the upcoming WWII LuftwaffeBest Pilots figure. He will be 1/5 scale, sporting authentic Luftwaffe gear. The perfect match for the TF 190. Can anyone tell who he is sculpted after?

Great news on the German pilots. I am going to need several. They will be full body I take it? Once I am in a better position, you will be getting quite a bit of my business as I want a Lothar pilot as well for my Fokker. I am currently building a 1/5th FW 190 D and a TA 152. That will be a very popular pilot. You may need to have another choice eventually.
