Getting closer to finishing mine and the weather is getting primed for flying.. I'll get a few flights on her after the markings are completed and then weather it. Other then that, I wish the best to you all. I won't do a video but I should have some stills.[8D]

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF
I have been following this thread for a while and plan on building (assemble) this bird, i have a couple questions. How is this ARF viewed at warbird flyins. What is the better retract system, pneumatic or electric. From what i have read it seems to be a very popular bird. I had planned on stripping the monokote and fiberglassing but have abandoned that idea as it may be beyond my skills, i think if this bird is weathered some what and maybe a different paint scheme on the cowl it will stand out in the crowd. Thanks, And good luck to Ramstein44 , i have been following your build and look forward to the finished product..

Thanks N8.. I'm a little concerned about the weight at 28lbs prior to balancing...[&:] What's everyone else's weight on their FW190's? I know due to all the extra efforts in glassing, different retracts and so on that mine would be a little heavier.
I'll finish the details of the cockpit later. Got to get more leather.

Looks great.
Considering the size of this plane and the wing area Id be OK with that AUW. The sink rate on approach to land will be higher so flaps and more power will be needed. On windy days yours will track nicely and penetrate the wind better than a lighter loaded stock version.
For comparison since you glassed yours the SiST FW 190A8 comes in at a claimed weight of 18-22lbs. On Aeroscales' site they claim up to 36+lbs so that leaves quite a range open on that particular model but similar planform. Wingspan is 83in.
I know of one ESM FW 190 that flew nicely on brushless power at about 28lbs AUW and thats with a 71 inch wing. It had a very cool scale presence in the air and on approach. Past tence due to a 14MZ radio problem not the weight.
Pick a nice day and go for it!
