Yowsa!

You can buy rivet sheets now?

Way kewl

I've been thinking along the lines of some sort of template - like the perforated gear-tabs on the old 132-column computer printer paper - and then air-brush the 'rivets' on. Those paper holes are a bit big (and that printer paper is basically obsolete now), so I'm toying with the idea of using a good old leather-punch and some strips of manila-folder/A4 binder plastic etc. to make up some fine-holed 'templates' for airbrushing.

Will have to see how that pans out...

I notice a lot of chat regarding the DLE 55RA.

Are there any main differences between the 55 and 55RA (apart from the rear-exiting exhaust).

Apparently, there is an issue with the Exhaust/Muffler of the 55RA; it falls apart; I have read about mounting the Muffler with longer bolts and a larger fender washer to capture the Muffler more soundly.

Just Finished bulding this TF FW - DLE 55 side ( wish I went with rear for a mush cleaner look-less cowl cut)
Robart Mains air with Robart fixed tail retract (using 4-40 turnbuckles and ball ends).
Great planes aluminum metallic 1/16 stripe tape is a great color contrast for a panel line on this model (GPMQ1236) 2 rolls for whole model -
Callie graphics awesome graphics set at a steal of a price
had to add 10 oz lead weight to balance out using jr8611 servos dle 55 side with included exhaust

I meant more along the lines of any marked performance difference between a DLE 55 and DLE 55RA.

Now you've got me completely confused ??

The pics you're showing are for a boxer motor - are you sure you don't mean a DLE 60 twin or something?

RCHS1 "Bucky"- Matt Keller,

What Engine are you actually using, the pictures you posted show 2 engines?

It looks like the twin would fit if the right-thrust was eliminated or negated.

Thanks, it really does help it a bit. No on the marker, it's all chalk. I would have used my airbrush but it was a rainy Sunday afternoo. When my compressor broke and I just didn't feel like trekking out for another.

We ended up using the DLE 55 running a menz (painted black) 22x12 which provides great power although the first flight was in 24mph winds it handled it with grace!

The DA100 would fit with minor or no cutting on the sides and eliminate some of the 10ounces of nose weight!

Be wary as my first 4 landings were flawless(in 190 terms!) but on my fifth landing I believe the clamp holding the leg in loosened or was not tight enough and twisted causing a low speed side load slide enough to bend the shaft on the trunion slightly( took it out and bent it back straight) which will work for the texas city warbird this weekend as i have #fw202a on order from robart

all in all this is a GREAT LOOKING and flying airplane!

stay tuned as a friend of mine video the first flight

I was excited to put my my first flight video and you beat me to it lol!

it was windy but had no choice as the texas city event is this weekend and the next warbird is bomberfield in June.

The top flite fw190 is a winner!

I know there is another one in my area and hope to link up and do some formation one day

What wind?

That was just a healthy dose of take-off/land assist

Ditto.

You 'Mericans sure have some nice black-top runways at your clubs.

Down here, that stuff costs a fortune - and I haven't seen any in all the Clubs I have visited thus far.

It's either grass, or thistles to choose from.

Bitumen seems to be for full-size only...

http://youtu.be/0IuF_h46vas Finally had some warm weather to try out the EME 55. I'm very impressed with how smooth the motor is. The FW is finally 100% complete, just need a nice day with out these crazy winds.
