A bit further out than that.....I placed the plane on a GP "CG Balance Machine" to balance it and that required the two arms to sit outside the fuselage itself. Here is a picture of using that tool:

From the eastern front. Unflown, the DLE 61 engine has been run. I wish I had seen Leo's post before I installed my Sierra gear.

Finally started assembly of my TF FW-190; it will have the FG90R3, Keleo exhaust collector ring, Sierra retracts and the wing is modified to 5 degrees dihedral.

Hmmm....

I've earmarked my ASP 400 (5cyl Radial 65cc) for the TF FW-190 - hope it has enough power to do this Bird some justice...

BJ; I originally purchased the FG60R3 for the FW-190 than changed my mind and purchased the FG90R3. I will look for another aircraft to install the FG60R3 in. The FG60R3 seems adequate for the TF FW-190 from the flight videos I've seem so the ASP 400 should do the same with a little better engine exhaust sound!

Hey Guys,

in case anyone is interested, I have designed a cooling fan for the topflite Spinner and have been using it for about 40 Flights. Its printed in greentec BPD Plastic. its a very new plastic that withstands temperatures of up to 120°C and is tougher than ABS.

I am not sure about the RCU policy and dont want to get into any trouble so I hope its ok to post a price.

I can print them for USD 35 a piece. Postage to the states is USD 18.- from here in Austria. Just send me a PM. Not sure about postage inside of the US and between US and Canada, maybe a combined order would make sense?

I have a couple of questions before buying one from you. Does it actually help with cooling the engine, and will it effect engine rpms at all, meaning do you lose rpms? It would look cool, no question about that, lol.

If that little fan dragged your engine down, it needs a re-build! Obviously it WILL help with cooling when at idle, that's why it was installed on the original.

Thanks for your OPINION, but I'd rather hear from the person who made it and actually used it.

Hi,

very legit question. The temp`s of the cylinders was 20° lower at idle. I have telemetry in my Focke Wulf and the Cylinders cool down a lot quicker in flight after hammering throttle on longer passages. I do however have the engine baffled very well.

The (small) downside is you will be losing about 150 RPM. But for me its worth the cooling effect. Especially on the ground.

Rgds,

You can sell it on RCU, gas engines for sale is a good place to start.
