Newly Finished CARF P-47 Thunderbolt
i have finished this carf P-47 for a friend here in Denmark.
The P-47 in covered with Mick reeves aluminium foil "metal coat"
i have made everything on the model regarding finish, except the rub on decals, they are from tailormade.
firstly, the pictures of the start of the project, the first covered item, and the detailing of the alu foil...

WOW... All I can say is WOW. Very well done. The detail is amazing. Even the gunpowder flash stains are accurate.
Any cockpit pictures?

right now there is not any cockpit at all, you can see theres no canopy glass either, we have discussed this, because the cockpit panel and accessories from carf is a very poor standard. So to get the best result must be dooing something by yourself.

I just got new stock for the P-47 cockpit set. I already sold out on the ready made version (more coming though), but have several kits available - item CCK-05-05:

Just the instrument panel #3027 and side panel #2047-5RM available, too:

Gun sight, control stick, pedals, seat, harness, pilot also available separately.

Do you have pictures showing the application of the flite metal and how you added all the rivets?

Beautiful covering job! Mick Reeve's metal covering, how does it affect 2.4 GHz reception/transmission? His website doesn't say much, except it weighs almost identical to flitemetal.

regarding 2,4ghz i had some trouble with my T33, but it also had alot of carbonfiber, and a long stainless steel duct for the turbine. So i had to move the antennas on the outside of the fuse.
