I use Futaba GY350 Gyros, they are no longer available, however, both JR and Futaba now sell Gyros that are made for Airplanes; go to Tower Hobbies and/or Horizon to get info on these Gyros; another wealth of Gyro Info is in this RC Thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_60..._1/key_/tm.htm

I found on a link some flyers using the GY48V - seems simple enough and easy to set up so I will give it a try and see what happens.
I understand what you mean by Gyro now.
I have a Spektrum AR635 receiver that has the AS3X technology. It has three controls instead of one.
The AR635 says it can be used on larger planes over 50 size but I think it is for smaller planes.

My Dad and I are the only ones flyin the 40 here on Guam anyways..calender is marked..also have the P-40 Brotherhood logo hanging over building table...I'm one day ahead so I'll calculate timing..

P40 Exhaust
Texan2 - If you have not talked with Keleo, I bet they will make you a custom scale exhaust kit. I spoke with Kelvin and he will tell you what information you need to send them and he will give you a quote. Once I start my build for my Sykshark they will make my exhaust in around 5 weeks.

Just finished the final trim flights on my TF P-40 Giant Scale equipped with a G-62. Settled on a 20x10 Xoar. The DLE 55-powered version likes a 22x10, but the G-62 loaded up with that much prop. I tached it at 7500 on the ground and it really unloaded in the air! Love the sound of the rip when it comes through a turn. Music to my ears!

Hello,
I'd like to join the P-40 brotherhood, if a spot is open. I have always an interest in the P-40 and now I have a Top Flite .60 build in progress. As many of you may know, it is such an interesting plane and all the with all the variations there is so much potential.
Although I am not in a hurry, by any means, to get this build done, I can not contain my excitement about any part of the build or the future flying of this beauty.
