RE: Giant Scale Top Flite FW-190 Electrified
Mine arrived in fine shape yesterday. The second "carton" was just an envelope with the invoice.

Mine is due in Friday but UPS shows two packages shipped. Does anyone know if the model is shipped in two separate cartons?
Thanks...

Hey Dan,
Any video of this setup yet. I'm thinking of using this same setup in another warbird so any info would be nice. What size prop did you finally decide on? Have you tried a three blade yet?
Thanks a million sir.

I like the setup quite well actually. Flight times have been conservative so far....only 6 mins. There is plenty of mah left though so could easily get 8+ mins. Im running 2x 6s 6000's
Ive tried a couple different props....21x14, 22x12, 22x13. The 12 pitch is just a bit too slow for my tastes on the 65cc motor on 12s. It would be fine on the 50cc rimfire as it has a higher kv, but the 50 wouldnt be able to turn the same 12 pitch 26" prop. It CAN do a 26x10, just not a 12...so you'd probably be able to do a 23 or 24x12 though.
50cc @ 230kv on 12s with 12 pitch prop = 128mph static no load
65cc @ 167kv on 12s with 14 pitch prop = 108mph static no load
The issue would be amp draw. The 50cc on a 12 pitch will fly faster, but consume amps a lot quicker so much shorter flight times.
65cc @ 167kv on 12s with 15 pitch prop = 116mph no load
You could use a 15 pitch on the 65cc if your looking for all out speed or stick with a 12 pitch and go to a 14cell lipo setup

Hi Casey,
I have not had a chance to get any video yet. The weather here in Champaign has been cold and windy. I have also not played with any props for this reason.
I know the guys from SKS Video have an entire flight of it on the NEAT Fair 2012 DVD.
Thanks!
Dan

Man this is one sweet looking bird for an e-conversion. I just did the 30cc hangar 9 p-47 with a rimfire 50cc.
Very nice work Dan! It looks like you have lots of room for batteries. How much lead did you add? I would replace that with mah.

Kahloq and Dan,
Thanks for the response. Missed the posts somehow. I'm puting the 65cc in a CMP Zero, so I'm not looking for speed really. Don't want to putt around either though lol... Looking for that sweet spot of speed and flight times....
