    I think I have just about all the servos, horns and linkageinstalled... I slid the outboard wings on to the center wing section and layed it on to the fuselage I have upside down on a stand... I decided not to make a long cut in the cowl to attach the exhuast pipes from the inside, but rather scuffed the mating parts and attached the dummy exhuast pipes on the outside good with epoxie.
    Next step is to trim the fiberglass center wing pan and attach it to the bottom center of the wing.
    On the second photo you can ses the two holes in the front fuselage former that I ran a long 5/16" drill into the leading edge of the wing for the bigger guide pins than called for in the manual, can't get it any more accurate than that.

    I cut spots of covering on the wing bottom out, speared it with epoxy, roughed up the underside of the wing pod and speared epoxy on it as well and placed it on location on the wing center... The flat paint finish on the plane picks up stains easy, I have been wiping it off with a rag and a little alchol to keep it clean... I sprayed the plane withinterior exterior clear satin to keep off any permanent stainson the paint.

    The last short nosed German twin I builtneeded lot of lead up front to balance... I thought I would get a early idea to see if this one is the same.. I took a small carboard box attached to the front of the fuselage and placed couple pounds of lead into it and it looks like it well need all of it, if not a bit more... I well be extending a shelf up front under the nose cone to place the weight.
    You can see the tube I am using under the balance point.

    You can use some heavier spinners to aid in the balance. I believe Troybuilt still has some for this plane. If not them, then maybe arfpros or VQ

    For now I secured a 1/4" ply shelf so I can place the lead counterbalance as far forward as possible... and decided to place the engine ignition module behind the firewall... I am thinking of running the power cable for the two Ignition into a single switch and battery in the fuselage, I hope this does not creat any interferrence for my 2.4 Futaba reciever.

    Got the fuel lines in. Nothing fancy on the prop or spinner... Using a 3" Du-bro spinner opened up the prop slots about 1/8", if I were using something scale I would go with a 3.25" or 3.5" spinner... For the prop I am using a Master Air Screw three blade 15x7", it should be close enogh to get me started.

    Note- If I had known, Iwould have disregarded the center line marks on the firewall from the factory for engine mounting, it is about 1/8" low to line up with the cowl properly.

    I went to the scrap yard to buy some lead weight to balance the BF-110,,, this time I found some 1' square sheets of lead 1/4" thick... I was not shure just how I would cut it to size, as it turned out I was able to cut it with a pair of tin snips.
    Looks like it well take just over a pound of balast to balance out, I plan on drilling couple holes through it and screwing it down to the ply shelf...
    I have the engines a plumbed and wired in, so on the next nice day I well take it in the yard and see if I can get the engines running ( kind of wet and cold the last few days in Michigan)..

    Looks like the airplane comes out at about 24 pounds,, guess I can get it down to the specs 19.8 pounds by installing undersized glow engines or pulling one of the gassers out, he,he..
    Now to work on beefing up the fixed landing gear blocks.

    Looking good. Did you run the engines yet? Except for the last few hours of the day, it's been pretty dreary this weekend. I was hoping to get my 109 out to fly since the wind was so tame, but I just couldn't stomach the dampness.

    Same here, I don't want to go out in the damp weather and have that prop blast to deal with, I would like to try running the engine soon in the next few days... I flew my Miester 109 few weeks back at the giant fly in at Flying Pilgrims, 100" span powered with a Quadra 75 turning a 24x12 prop.

    The CG used by the electric conversion done on rcgroups for MAN was 147mm back from the leading edge of the wing along the fuse. I set mine slightly forward of that about 135mm. The manual states 85mm, but thats waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay nose heavy

    Thanks, that ia about where I was thinking, I am at about 145mm back from the leading edge, with the fuel tanks full it well move up a bit.

    I dont like a plane thats close to tail heavy when trying to land. Myself..I'd add a bit of nose weight to move the CG forward to about 140mm empty

    The Aerovate 20 turned out to be a sweet little engine after start and setup... After a few minutes of hand propping I could see the carb is not going to draw fuel, so I used a electric starter and the engine started soon after... when the throttle was moved up more then half the engine would die, I opend the hight needle 1/2 turn and this time after start, the engine would go into high gear with no problem, while running full throtle I opend the high another 1/8 turn before settling on that as a good needle location.
    The second engine was identical, I had to open the high 5/8 more... The low was fine on both engine... I am turning 15x7 Master three blade props, I did not tack it but this thing is running sweet, they both transition from low to high effortlessly and sound great running side by side..

    I think we tend to forget how economical these low displacement gas engines are in respect to fuel economy. Ihave the ESM Val and a DLE 30cc engine. Ialso used the stock fuel tank that came with the kit, a 550cc behemoth! Remember that these were most likely developed for glow fuel sucking, big nitro engines. I suspect this Me-110 came with the same tank size (550ml)??? You simply dont need the capacity of a tank this size if you're running gasoline. My weed eater has a tank about this size and Ican keep it running for almost an hour. You should be topping off with fuel before each flight, so unless you plan on going for some kind of endurance record, make it easy on yourself and get a couple of smaller tanks that will make your installation easier. Certainly dont need 24 oz. of fuel capacity!

    I did use the fuel tank which came with the kit since the opening on the airplane looks like it is matched to the square tank, I did change the tube to gas, hardware and the clonk to a heavier unit..

    You guys glueing those three section wings together or running screws into the tube for sectional wings take heed of this video... I made sure I scuffed the wing ends good before epoxieng mine and braced the outer wing tip tubes which is held on with a wing tube screw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGAaB...eature=related
