Default Rivet formula

Hi guys,

Ok what are you using as a formula for rivets, I have tride different concoctions, latest ( 40 percent yellow glue, 40 percent white glue and 20 water)
with moderate results.

Also I have used pinked tape on controll surfaces and planed to simulate stiching with a small bead of the same.

Question what formula are you using and how do you simulate rib stiching.

Peter

I find formulary 560 from Zap products also known as canopy glue works great sticks realy well and you can sand it to flatten them without it coming off, use straight out of the bottle.  Stitching get a pair of pinking sheers most hobby stores have them.
Hope this helps.

Straight titebond. Ihave found the applicator is just as important as the glue itself

I have used silver relief paint that you can get in a little tube from art supply places.

the thing I find the hardest for raised dome rivets is a consistent size and height, nothing looks worse then rivets that are different sizes. Or far too large for that matter. Some of the ones we do if we scaled them up would be almost the size of a round frying pan!! [8D]
