Default Royal FW-190a8

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, hopefully someone can answer a simple question for me.Tuesday i went to a garage sale and picked up two very nice old kits.A Sig Ryan STA,complete except for the missing plans. The real question is the other kit,a Royal Maratuka FW-190A8,it is complete as far as parts but i do not know if these kits came with an instruction book or do you just use the plans. Thanks very much,,,Freddy

Jan, You are 99% of the time right on spot...Not this time

Royal / Marutaka kits came with an extremely comprehensive instruction book when new. Almost as good as Sig or GP. As to whether or not you can find a copy for those planes remains to be seen. There is are a couple of really good threads on Royal kits...one was frequented/started by rcu member riddle4u. There is also a recent thread on a Royal FW-190 build in progress. You could probably work out a deal for a copy of his book, I know I've copied several different inst books for members.

Good Luck.

I haven't updated my thread in a while since I have been in the primer and filler stage, and its rather boring and tedious work, but I am still working on the plane and moving forward on the build, I will shoot some pics and bring it up to the top this weekend before and after I finish prime it.

as for the instructions freddy s they are not the best tutorial I have seen by a long shot, my build is a clone of the kit I have, and I really never considered the instructions to be that helpful, the plans are where you get most of the information from, and I used my experience of building Top Flight kits at a guideline for this build

if you need a copy of the instructions I can make a copy of mine that I have, truth is you will learn more from my thread than on the pages of the instructions Royal provides I did do quite a few mods to the original to bring it up to date and lighten it where ever possable
