You have to draw a line on detail or it never ends and most people are not rebuilding a full scale B-17 to know that. lol

I have a lot of pics of the forward fuse and some video including the upper turret, thought he might like to see the detail on the pedals. I had the honor of being able to get up close and personal when the Ghost was at Chino back in 2012. It was very helpful for us since we are restoring a slightly older E model to flying condition, and were missing some key components that were destroyed either during its conversion to the XC108 or by the guys trying to dismantle it with a torch and hatchet. I didn't get a chance to see the aft end though since it was already packed up ready to ship at that time. Our aft end is pretty much intact so nothing to research on it, but Bulkhead 3 was mangled pretty good, and was missing some fittings on the lower portion and on the upper main longerons. It's good to see the ghost nearly reassembled now, too bad its an outdoor setting, don't know what the impact will be out there to whats left of it. Do you know if they are at least spraying a clear preservative on it?

Amazing plane Wes. You are a true craftsman and artisan. It is tempting to make the drive up to Toledo just to see her although I think work will have me tied down unfortunately.
I was able to climb around in Sentimental Journey when it visited a local airport back when I was young: http://www.azcaf.org/pages/sentjourn.html
Tragic loss of Liberty Belle in 2011: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/n...7.photogallery
IIRC she made an emergency landing in a cornfield and the firetrucks could not get to her without getting stuck. They just stood and watched her burn.

There is one area I missed, dont know if you can see it or not, but under the cockpit, behind the crew door on the belly there is this small door. I am reassembling the one on the Rat and would like to see what it looks like. This portion of the belly was ripped apart when they tried ti dismantle the plane back in the late 40's. I thought I captured all the floor but I guess not.

Well that door is inaccessible at it sits now. Swamp Ghost I guess you could say is a low rider ATM lol. I wasn't sure if you asked for shots of the crew door as well, so I shot a few. As you can see the rack that the plane sits on is relatively low to the ground.
I had to lay down to get this one.

Well here she is ... The Memphis Belle is finally finished after over 4,400 hours (1400 by me and 3000 by Wes Miller). Longer than Boeing took to build the full scale. She begins her memorial U.S. tour this coming weekend in Toledo then it is back to Minnesota to get her ready for the first flight.
