Default Detail parts for P51.

I was wondering if anyone can put me on the right path for detail parts for my 1/5 scale Mustang. Thanks, Ron.

Hi,
A bit tricky.

To my knowledge there isn't a single supplier of parts. You will need to source each of the parts almost separately.

What parts in particularwere you after? What model is it ? ( apart from being a 1/5 scale P51 )

Aerotech used to provide some excellent parts ,but I think they have stopped trading ?

Perhaps others can be more helpful.

Cheers,
Merlin Man.

Hi Merlin Man. Iam looking for scale wheels, sliding canopy, cockpit kit, full size pilot, scale exhaust and pretty much anything else I can find for it. The plane is a 1/5 scale Pica P51D. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Try Robart or Glennis for scale wheels.

Tony Howard has a scale exhaust stack kit. Unless you're seeking a functional exhaust in which case you might try Keleo creations.

Vortech and/or Tru-Turn can probably provide the spinner.

Try IFlyTailies for the cockpit stuff.

Aerotech was handling a sliding canopy kit which would probably work but, as noted by Merlin Man, they may not be around any longer. It's not particuarlyr difficult to do yourself and there are a number of threads here and at RC Scale Builder which cover the construction of a sliding hood for the P-51.
