DA 85 will be powering this bird. That is more than enough. I didnt care for the flat gear doors so im makeing molds to allow me to make fiberglass doors that follow the wing. That pretty much has me stopped for the night util this cures then do the otherside.

for my perspective, your hours appear to be off. I need you to tell
us that you are about 100 hours into the build now

Terry what scheme you going with? Did you order direct from CARF or Chief?

This is on the horizon for a project out here soon.

This one came from Chief. I am doing the EN199 that is in the Malta Aviation Museum.( http://www.maltaviationmuseum.com ) I traveled there in 2007 to have a up close look at her for my Brian Taylor spitfire i built a few years back. They let me take all the up close photos i wanted and let me sit in her. My wife snaped this photo of me in the plane.

Well we had a outstanding flying day here in North Texas so i didnt get much done but i did get to fly

I finished up the mold for one side of the wing and started puttiing the servo trays for the wings together. After i got the mold off i waxed it up so when im ready for it she has several layers of wax already on it.

Tonight i got 1 servo in the wing the linkage done and i have a gear door in the mold. I used west epoxy to put the servo tray in the wing so thats going to be an over night set time....but it wont come out! And my spinner came in from True Turn.

yes they did. as you can see its a 2 part system with blind nuts. You epoxy the bottom tray to the interior of the wing and then bolt the servo tray to it. Very nice if you ask me. I tossed the linkages and controle arms and did my own thing. What they sent would work fine just not my cup of tea. The instructions stress they be put together with fiber enforced epoxy. I agree with that demand. I use that stuff anyway when im makeing molds....

Terry, I am working on my Comp-ARF Spit as well. My gears rails were off in, that, while retracted, one gear sits lower (deeper) in the wing than the otehr. Did you experience that? Easy fix as I just shmmed one side with 1/8 ply. I agree with you, eas ARF. Got the wing all set-up in about 7-8 hours, ready for paint. Now, on to the fuse.
