Thanks Thunder21. She has a Dle120, all Savox servos, JR electronics, Demon cortex gyro, Sierra retracts all around, Sierra wheels, fergelli servo operated canopy and servo driven exhaust. Looking for a brake system also. Pilot is from Warbird pilots. Colors are Valspar latex.
Working on the markings now. I hope to break in the engine in a few weeks or less..

Prekin , why dont you look for an esm BF 109 G; Its very light for having a fiberglass fuselage , it balances very easily without extra load in the nose and its out-line is quite scale. it flies very easily. I am thinking of bashing it (rivets , panel lines , cockpit , e.t.c. ) some time.

Because the ESM Bf-109 is out of stock around the Czech or Austria and the scale is not 1/5. I want the same scale as my La-5.
Nick do you have a link for a European eshop with Meister or Platt´s kits? The Fliteskin I´ve already found in UK.

thanks. was a fun time making it ugly and trying various weathering...sometimes I get in trouble for over doing it ...lol... the real plane was over a full year old, which was a long time to be a butcherbird in WWII. Most them only lasted a month if that, ...so I heard. It was found in a repair flight area of Berlin, and had many repair parts, like new cowl etc. And since it was 1945, end of war area, spare parts were just left in primer colors usually...no time to paint! Sitting around outdoor in bad weather and doing missions for a full year will make it really ugly and beat. No time for prettiness anymore.
she's a bit heavy at 43 pounds , but flys great and feels like a warbird. ...no video, never seem to get that done unless I luck out and someone does it for me.

I've spent the last couple of days reading this thread an I must say you guys have really opened my eyes, Now that I've got the drool cleaned off the keyboard I"ve got a few questions, First just so you know my wife hates you guys! I've always wanted a decent Dora but no one makes a smaller version, The ESM seems to be the best price but I've never built a kit of this scale so its a bit intimidating to say the least, If someone has the time an wouldn't mind explaining it to me I'd really appreciate it, I see you buy the glass fuses, then is there a kit with instructions an material that comes with it like a Top Flite kit, I also see where some of you guys are making fuses from molds an selling them are the guys buying them building the wings from scratch or existing plans? Thanks

Chris,
There are fully built kits, that start with a box of wood, there are ARFs that just require assembly and in between, also called short kits. Mostly come with /fiberglass fuses and other parts, also plans for the wings, some also provide laser cut wood kits to speed up the build.
You have to buy some stock wood to finish the build.
It all depends how much you like to build and detail your model and how much accuracy will satisfy you.

The ESM is an "arf", so it comes built and painted, but you still have to assemble all the other bits to it. Topflite has an ARF as well. The others vary like mentioned earlier.

I've built balsa models just nothing of this scale, I do like detail but nothing to crazy, If i wanted to put together a decent FW190 D kit that comes with everything I'd need like cowl an canopy, prefer all the wood present an lazer cut, understanding that most of the hardware has to be purchased extra, what kit would you recommend for the price conscioused person? Does such a kit exist, like a Guillows on steroids!
