Well it's now a week since I e-mailed Robart using the [email protected] address that Sam kindly provided and still no answer.

I happen to know that Robart had to dismiss their customer relations person and haven't been able to get a replacement. Try calling their phone number and ask for "Eric." He's like the plant manager.

Just for everyone else's information, most of the weight ratings on our gear are limited by the retract itself. In general terms, the weight rating is an approximation. We do offer custom landing gear solutions but are running a long lead time currently as we try to improve our in stock inventory to keep up with our website and distrubutors.

I went to TOLEDO this weekend. Bought exactly what I wanted from ROBART. I knew exactly what I wanted and it was a "zip-thud" done deal PLUS a nice Show/Expo discount.
No retracts but ROBART has IMO the nicest Giant Scale aluminum wheels on the market today.

Just for the record, once I established communications with Joe at Robart he has been very helpful.
To Joe's credit he did not just tell me what I wanted to hear so I would buy his product. He has provided me with some honest information that will enable me to make a good decision as to how I will proceed with my project.
