If I were to pony up and get an old muscle car again, it'd have to be either a 1969 Camaro SS 427 or a 1970 Trans Am 455. I was never much of a fan of the Dodge muscle cars and even less the Ford pieces of garbage. I like the Cuda fine...cuz it looks sorta like a Camaro . Id rather have a new Camaro SS or the upcoming 2014 Z-28. At least I know even with all that horsepower, it would still get better gas mileage then my 2003 Hummer H2

Its a bit off topic I know (but in my defense I didn't start it) but as a person who appreciates many makes of cars, especially ones from a the time of muscle, I can't in good faith let such a blanket statement live in cyberspace un-rebutted. I've owned several cars over the years (not these, I don't grunt out money like bad taco bell) but my current project is a '78 Z28 factory 4 speed, factory yellow and black with a 383 stroker motor (have the matching # 350 in storage). I think these are some fine examples of what Ford can and did do. I have in the past owned 3 mustangs, and have seen many a Camaro receding in the rear-view mirror.

I am not a ford guy at all.....they hold zero appeal to me. I have driven several including a few mustangs. There is a reason why there are so many anachronisms for ford. You know....."found on road dead"....."fix or repair daily"....."f'd over rebuilt dodge".....etc.

My opinion of course, there are some saps out there that do like clunkers.....hehe j/k....maybe lol

I have a lot of respect for what Ford has and continues to do with their Mustang, I'm just not a fan of it. Totally subjective as they have a lot of redeeming qualities. I think the only reason that Ford is turned into so many acronyms is that it's the easiest to use of all the Big three. Kinda hard to make a funny acronym out of Chevrolet.

Ya I can see your point, like GM (government motors) or Dodge (good advice)..... My favorite was always Chevy's "Like a rock (adj. usually found among other inanimate objects on the shoulder of a highway)"

You Americans are totally spoilt when it comes to Muscle Cars.

I've always dreamed of owning a '69 or '70 Mach 1 Mustang.

They are worth an absolute bloody fortune down here - if you can get one...

I guess we have different ideas on what constitutes a 'Muscle Car' - LoL

Oh, i can assure you i know what a muscle car is, theres plenty over here, but with gas prices at $10.33 a gallon, and huge penalties on exhaust emission, its a pipe dream to run one regular, but, on vacation in florida next week, and thinking of changing the rental for a camaro, Good enough?

I have the CMP 73" 109 powered by a DLE 20 with a Graupner 3 blade prop and Dave Platt spinner. Century Jet air retracts. Only major mod is moving the retracts forward to more scale location. In the air it flies fine. Have had no problems with snaps. But with approach stall, gear and flaps down it will roll to the left as do most warbird, but not violent. With the gear moved forward I have no problems with nose overs on our grass runway. This is not a cross wind or gusty weather airplane because of the narrow gear. Land is best done with holding it off just above ground with slight power and letting it settle in three point. With the gear forward, wheel landing without a big bounce are difficult. Only have about 21 flights on plane because of weather limitations. Seems like all we have is gusty and/or crosswinds. The plane looks great on the ground and in the air. Wtg. 14.3 lbs. Flies with the 20, but could use more power.

Try a Evolution / MVVS 26cc with wraparound muffler, similar footprint to the DLE but more HP - will swing an 18x10 APC or Graupner G-Sonic
