That would be Drake Edwards from Raleigh NC. I have a few pics of it and have flown with drake for years. What kind of info you need

I thought he was out of NC. Just looking for general info, some pics or video of the plane. I have a friend thats putting an inline twin in a compy P51 and when i tell him about the 3 cylinder inline he looks at me like I'm nuts. If I remember right he used to have an inline twin and then added another cylinder.

I recently saw a Youtube video of a P-51 with a great sounding inline engine but didn't see any details on it. Would love to find the video again and/or learn the details. Anybody know anything about it?

Bill

Drake did'nt add another cylinder, that engine was a Precision Eagle sold in the 90's, the company no longer exsists. The P-51 in the video is not Drake. That engine is available thru Vogelsang, about $3000, but its a fourstroke not a twostroke like Drakes. Precision Eagle produced a twin also, but were known for their most popular model, a single 4.2

I know it's not Mr. Drake's, but he asked about a video that is pretty well known around these parts so I just helped him out with a link.

Good vid. Sure sounds good.

I just remember seeing Drake's P51 one year with an inline twin and thought it was pretty impressive then later saw him? Again but this time there were 3 cylinders. Didn't it make the cover of model airplane news once?

How cool would his plane be with the scale liquid cooled Merlin V12 being built by Authentic Scale!!!!!!

It will come with the scale exhaust as well!!!!

I saw the full scale shop drawings at the Toledo show and it is awesome.
