Robart 150HD9E loose rotating shaft
Hello warbird community,
I have a set of Robart 150HD9E rotating electric structs on my 110" Me-410, and I am having a problem with the rotating shaft wobbling a couple of degrees either side of the toe it/out setting. This is preventing the maiden flight because it won't maintain taxi direction, and sometimes acts as brakes. It is not the upper scissor attach point being loose, or play in the scissor, it is the tube that the upper scissor attaches to that is wobbly.
I pulled the gear and looked at the rotating control at the top of the strut, and can't see any way to adjust it. These are new, and other than test cycles, have not been used or abused.
Does anybody have any experience with these type of retracts, and how to eliminate the wobble?
Thanks!
Ed

I found their email form last night and got a response this morning, which was welcome after the phone call/voicemail.
I have exchanged videos and photos with them, so hopefully we'll get an idea of the cause soon.
