Warbird Colors Paint
Does anyone know if Warbird Colors is still in business? I sent an email asking a question about what clears can be used over the paint and haven't received a response. Also, the links on the site for ordering the paint are not working but other links do work.

YES, I am still in business! My "real job" and some family stuff has been in the way. I will try to catch up with emails etc. tonight. I know the web-site sucks, but it does work (with a PC), not so much with MACs. Re-design is in progress. Thanks for patience!

Well, it has been 8 days and still haven't received a response to the email I sent. Links on the site to make a purchase aren't working (Windows 8, Internet Explorer 10). Guess it's time to move on and use a different paint.

Hey Gris, It is a matt finish{has a sheen to it} Does not need protection from gas or kero. for that matter. Old formula came with a crosslinker additive that helped with the fuel proofing for glow fuel. New formula can't use crosslinker so it would need a clear coat.

Yup, I use 3 parts paint to 1 part water in a touch up gun or airbrush at about 25 psi. do light coats. It does dry somewhat fast. I have used the new stuff touching up the Mig. it seems to have a slightly flatter finish than the original stuff but I had a bunch of their older clear, so I blended over the areas with that to even it out. It blends in nice for doing repairs. I keep the tip off my gun wet to keep the paint from drying on it between coats.
