Default Black Horse Me 109 E

I bought this plane from an RCU'r from back East. Finally got to fly her this past Saturday. What a beautiful flying airplane. I did some reworking on the paint job, have to make it mine you know. 86 in wingspan with a DLE 55. The landings were picture perfect, even though I had to kill the engine on both landings after touchdown. Still working on getting the right idle speed. She did not want to slow down. Started to repaint the blue with the RLM light blue but ran out halfway thru. Ordered some more from Tamiya. Almost looks like a blue on blue splinter paint job. http://youtu.be/JgrzHcOmOXo

Nice! I have looked hard at this plane because I prefer the 'E' model. Also looking at the big ESM Messerschmidt. I think it has a little more detail, but it is a 'G'. But I need to finish the planes I got before I let myself buy another one! Good to hear that it flies well.

Sweet finish! Been looking for this plane myself. Too bad this Blackhorse's 109 is not available anywhere here in the US. I'll keep an eye out for this one because I would love to have it in my hangar.

I know what you mean. I had been looking for a long time for this one and found it here on RCU. It is a nice stable flier and probably the best landing 109 I have flown. Havent flown the Meister 109's yet. I have the 84 in 109G short kit but my kit building skills have been dormant so long I dont know if I could build one from a short kit anymore.

My operational one is printed with PLA but I guess PETG also would be good :-)
