Hay Aghost,
May I chime in here a bit, for I've flown both Lado and Sierra rotating retracts.
I now fly Sierra retracts in my models and though I do have two sets of Lado's flying in my P-51's, I only use Sierra's if I need rotating retracts. I had a set of Lado rotating retracts, but sold them. The older Lado's were failure prone and let them go...just follow the thread on Lado retracts. The 90 gear stock non rotating Lado's are good, but not the rotating type. I have no experience with the new ones being made today, but they only sell 90 degree rotators. Sierra gear are an entirely different bird altogether.
Sierra rotating landing gear are not cheap...but they work and they work very well. They also are 100 degree rotators too and the gear action on landing...will take a less then perfect landing and make you look like a pro. They are amazing.
Soft Landings Always,
Bobby of Maui

Finally starting to make some progress on the Ziroli Hellcat. We have had a lot of rain lately so being forced in to the basement. I should have taken this picture earlier in the construction phase. Both outer flaps are ready to cut off of the main wing, after the flaps are finished the basic construction will be complete, then on to months of finishing work.

Glad to see you back at it Steve. I have not forgotten your panel and gun sight by the way! They are on my "to do" list but since you said you were in no hurry I have not made them a priority. If I don't get them to you before you get to the point of needing them just say the word and they will go to the top of the list. Looking forward to more progress on your build!

It´s good to see your progress Steve. I´m happy, you don´t forget your Hellcat and found out some time to continue. Keep it up.
Finally I had some good flying days, and also I had some U.S. visit in my job. When I was coming home, I realized, that it was pretty easy for me to fulfil my childehood´sdream.

Hey Bob, it´s good hear about someone who flew Huey. This helicopter is legend. When some tell me someting about UH1, I see it in Vietnam over the rainforest.
Here are a couple of picture of my Hind.
What about your Hellcat? Do you have some flight movie?

Going to make a change on the Ziroli Hellcat. I realized yesterday (i should have done better homework first) that the ailerons were fabric covered. I have never been to happy with the idea of the hinging method that i currently have either.. So i am going to rebuild the ailerons so they look correct when covered and finished and i also would like to make them with more scale like hinging. Any ideas, suggestions, reference building material, any thing at all that can help i am all ears. Thanks.

I am building a Ziroli F6F-5N the Night Cat. It has scale: flaps, ailerons, dummy engine, scale exhaust with smoke, also sierra retracts, working oil cooler flap and engine cowl flaps (temperature controlled) with Oregon Scale Aviation ThermaCowl Ultra, scale navigation lights and of course I have all of Mirce's finish and detail sets for my Hellcat.
